I recently rang up the surgery to hopefully make an appointment to see someone regarding my knee which makes a loud grinding noise everytime I bend and straighten it. I was told by the receptionist that i would receive a phone call that same day. However , no call but , a text message reading that I'll get a call back - not an appointment within 4-5 WEEKS!! I'm in a lot of pain, self employed and really struggling. Not at all impressed

Dear Richard, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. All requests for an appointment are triaged by the duty doctor, based on the information provided by the patient. If the duty doctor triages the request as routine, the patient will be added to a waiting list for an appointment. Whilst we state that this may be 4-5 weeks, it is often quicker than this. I apologise that you were informed you would receive a telephone call on the same day, we should be informing patients that they will be contacted; this can include a text message, a reminder will be sent to the team regarding this. If you would like to discuss this further, please email me on sxicb-wsx.ltsreception@nhs.net Sarah, Deputy Patient Services Manager

I was invited for a Well-being appointment following a blood test. I booked as I thought it may be useful as I had also recently lost my husband. I booked a face to face confirmed by text, however I then received a reminder about my telephone appointment too late to call to clarify. On arrival at the surgery the receptionist was very helpful and I was directed to wait in Bay 3. The well-being person was not so welcoming! Their immediate comment was that it was a telephone appointment and that they had sent a reminder message. I showed them my face to face confirmation which they shrugged off and we both sat down. I found their manner abrasive and a tad patronising, this appointment was a complete waste of time. For me well-being is about treating the whole person and has an holistic approach. When I mentioned I had recently lost my husband, almost no comment apart from I am sorry and straight back to the reason for the appointment. Only when I went to leave was. Asked if there was anything else! Lime tree - as a practice you need to improve your communication channels so there is no confusion about appointments and how they are to be carried out. You also need to improve your well-being approach today’s appointment caused more harm to my mental well-being than good!

The doctor examined me very thoroughly and was very clear in his diagnosis and what I needed to do. I had the impression he was interested in identifying and solving my problem.

Very little waiting and very good nurse who attended to me. There was a slight holdup checking with only one receptionist on duty and the computerised check-in system not working.

I unable to see doctor. I had to discuss my medical problem with a receptionist. Had to take photos of the infection and send them in. I phoned the surgery at 0800 hours, it took the best the day to get a text message from a doctor stating, a prescription for antibiotics has been sent to your pharmacy. I pharmacy had not received the prescription. I phoned the surgery only to be told the prescription had not been signed or sent but will be done later in the day. I had to phone the pharmacy on a number of occasions to see if the prescription had been sent across. Finally at gone 4 pm the prescription was finally received at the pharmacy.

Called at 830am, waiting almost 2 hours for a call back to tell me that someone would call me back, waited until 4.42pm for that call. Prescription agreed around 4.50pm leaving me insufficient time to get to the pharmacy which closes by 6. Disappointing service whilst suffering with a heavy chest infection - I didn't even get an appointment to have it listened to.

I didn’t get the name of the person that took my blood, but she was punctual, efficient (hit the vein at first stab) and friendly. Thank you
