  1. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

We turned up on time for blood pressure monitoring - an appointment requested by the surgery. The appointment time and place had previously been confirmed in a text message. Unbeknown to us the surgery had sent a second text changing both the time and place. This text was not received by us and the surgery's texting system will have indicated this to them. We were unable to make the altered time and location and had a wasted journey. When presented with these facts the receptionist offered no explanation or apology. Enough to put up one's blood pressure!!!

I am extremely sorry to learn that your experience was far from ideal. There are occasions that clinics are moved or cancelled at short notice . While we always strive to ensure effective communication on these rare occasions, it clear from your experience that we missed the mark for you . I apologise for the frustrations and inconvenience this must have caused. If you have not already been in touch with the patient service manager they would be very happy to investigate and specifics of challenges faced on the day and explore your experience further.

  2. Review titled In praise of nursing staff, receptionists, & admin.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This is my second review for Wallace House Surgery. a) On Friday 7th October 2022, I was able to get an appointment with the excellent practice nurse whom I had not seen for a few years. Yes, it was difficult phoning in the previous day, and I could not get a doctor's appointment, but as the receptionist explained, for my particular problem I could see a nurse. I made a point of calling in to Tudor Way branch near my home to arrange an appointment, and the very helpful receptionist fixed my appointment for the following day at Wallace House Surgery Fore St. The nurse concerned( whom I had not seen for a while), was very cheerful and thorough. She examined me, gave me reassurance and advice, and also answered some other questions which had been bothering me. Thank you again to Wallace House. B) Finally a big ' Thank You' also for the run out of the Covid Vaccine appointments over the last few years. Everything ran smoothly firstly in Castle Hall, and secondly in St. Andrews Church Hall, over the past year. Well done Wallace House.

Thank you again Our services are designed for safety and efficiency and in recent years there has been considerable strain placed on both the system and the people. Over the last few years the team have had to make many changes to the system to cope with the pressures and deliver extended services. It is the people who deliver these new services and systems that deserve your kind praise and I would like to assure you that knowing the efforts are appreciated is the greatest reward you can offer them. I am sure the team were delighted to be back in their consulting rooms greeting familiar patients after the adventures of the last few years!
