    I requested a vacciantion appointment for typhoid and hepatitis and was told it was not done during the summer by reception. She also told me my tetanus was not due for another year and I need to get the other vaccination privately. A day later I received a test message to book a tetanus vaccination which I did online- no problems there. The tetanus vaccination was done professionally, so no complaints and the doctor was even able to give me typhoid and hepatitis. He then told be to also consider MMR vac and come 2 weeks later, no appointment would be needed I should just come in the morning. I arrived 2 weeks later just to be told by the receptionist that appointment was necessary and she booked me 2 weeks later in the morning. It seems there is a great deal of miscommunication between reception and the actual medical staff, reception saying vaccines wont be able to get in the summer, then possible on the day, doctors saying come without appointment and reception rejecting.

    Another GREAT experience at this surgery. I made a mistake when I booked in and did not give the receptionist the correct information about what vaccination I was there for. After 20mins I went back to the counter and they sorted it out. This was entirely MY fault as I was put with all of the people having their COVID boosters instead of getting booked in with a Dr. for my Tetanus/MMR booster. I was cross about the delay at the time and took it out on the Dr. which was completely uncalled for. He had a hard enough job doing a full day's work and then staying on to get these vaccine done. Luckily we talked it through. The Dr. was great and efficient and I left feeling happy to have been prompted to get my booster and getting it done so quickly. The mix up was entirely my fault and I would like to apologise to the Dr.for my grumpy attitude. You did not deserve this . This is still the best surgery I have experienced in Portsmouth and happy to give it another 5 star rating.

    Trying to get through to speak to someone is a joke. Every time i call i nevwr get through, and ifni do manage to get through, you're always too busy to deal with me. You've taken on too many patients and a as a result, it is affecting people being seen by their GP.

    Thank you for your comments. It is well publicised that Primary Care are under pressure, we have however recently made some adjustments that has seen an increase in the access to the Practice, to all of our clinical team.

    The nurse I saw was very friendly. I was impressed at how quickly I was taken in but not so impressed with how long it took to actually book the appointment

    My recent visit to the Kingston Surgery was excellent. Always a friendly efficient and quality experience. Sadly I had to travel a round trip of abut 7 miles to get treatment. Prior to that I recently needed a blood test and made the appointment. I was surprised when told I had to go to your Somerstown surgery which is about 6 miles from my home, a 12 miles round trip. I believe you have five surgeries and this is the furthest from my house. No doubt you have staff illnesses, holidays and shortages, and we all know that the NHS needs a doctor. I usually give a glowing report after every visit but my need to do this amount of travelling was disappointing.

    I recently attended for a fasting blood test, i made the appointment on line, this was followed up with text reminders, at the appointment the staff and nurrse were friendly and helpful, there was also no waiting around.

    This appointment was for a routine blood test. I had been texted to make the appointment which I did on line. The nurse who did the test was lovely, very warm, and caring. The appointment kept to time, and whilst I was there I was weighed and had my blood pressure taken (the first time it has been done by a professional since the onset of Covid.

    No record of appointment although I received two reminders by text. Receptionist was adamant that I was wrong but messaged doctor who saw me at appointed time. No apology from receptionist and doctor blamed computer.
