I contacted the Kensington Road surgery this morning to ask for an appointment face to face with a doctor for my partner The receptionist was extremely understanding as I was so urgently in need of help. They were able to fit my partner in later in the day. The doctor was a ’ locum’ who was unknown to us However. We were were treated with sympathy and concern and within a short time we had been assured that help is there. Thank you to all the staff We do appreciate your patience and help. I don’t want my name on this review as the matter is very personal

Had a problem today with my medication getting all mixed up. Spoke to receprion and they managed to sort it. Left feeling satisfied.

Although hard to get through on the phone once through you get lovely receptionists who do their best to help. Managed to get a call back and was called down to see the locum who was a lovely chap Needs a bit of tlc in the rooms to be honest but it’s still great care

Waited this morning outside the practice and got a face to face apmt that was needed. The practice have a new book on the day system the receptionist told me- seems to be working well

This surgery used to be great, but now it's impossible to get an appointment. On the rare occasion we've managed to get an appointment, it's an over-the-phone appointment and they just direct you to urgent care or a&e. Highly recommend avoiding this practice.

Dear Zach thank you for your review, however since your review the practice have recruited additional clinical staff, 2 GPs, 1 ANP and a Prescribing Paramedic. We have also conducted a report in conjunction with the GPIP General Practice Improvement Programme and we now offer 33% more appointments. Regards Julie Mayall Practice Manager

Waited outside one morning to get an appointment. I know getting through on the phone can be difficult. Only two girls on the desk to manage the queue. But was able to book the appointment I needed. Still needs work but I can see an improvement and the docs are fabulous

Visited surgery to book the annual medication review. Friendly and efficient receptionist. Advised that they were waiting on the name of the new Clinical Pharmacist, took my details and said they would call me back. Received text message that evening telling me there were no appointments and to contact the surgery again w/c 6th February. Little surprised and disappointed that I was not offered just a telephone consultation with a doctor as I got the feeling that they were currently without a Clinical Pharmacist. Let's see how things go next week.

Whilst waiting at reception today( 23 feb) I was witness to another patient verbally abusing the poor receptionists who were doing there very best. I don’t know how they are expected to out up with such behaviour and keep their cool. Luckily the manager came down and took the woman away. The practice needs work but I can see they are trying to improve so well done

Thank you for your comments. Sadly the reception staff do tend to get the brunt of patient frustrations, however we operate a Zero Tolerance towards any member of the team and luckily I was on hand to manage this situation. The practice are working hard behind the scenes to continue to improve its services thank you Julie Mayall Practice Manager

New locum I had tele call appt with was great. She said to make an in person appt if I was still ill on Friday (today) - which I tried to do. I am overdue a medicines review. I understand appt booking changes on Monday 6th but Joanna told me - after waiting on phone for 23 minutes - that I had to wait until Monday I've never complained about this surgery before, not feeling well & felt worse after interaction with reception, sincere regards cm
