    The care received from the ICO health group is usually prompt and the doctors are, in my experience, competent - but it can feel scattered: I rarely see the same doctor (not even for the same issue) and follow up eg with test results is slow, which is additionally frustrating when it takes such a long time to get through the surgery. The text function has helped getting appointments though!

    Dear patient, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Great that the ChatDoc WhatsApp service (text function) is proving helpful in improving access. We hear and are very conscious of your comments around constantly seeing different clinicians. The concept of a "family doctor" has been gradually disappearing over the past 20 years. Part of the reason for this is high turnover of staff - the working conditions have meant its difficult to hold onto good people. Inevitably this means patients see different clinicians on most occasions. There is no overnight fix for this but we are trying to tackle it. Although you may not see it directly, alongside the launch of the ChatDoc service we have also made some significant changes to the way our team works. We can offer our staff more flexibility, more team working and more variety. All this adds up to a happier team and lower staff changes - which in turn will hopefully mean you are more likely to see familiar names and faces when you need our help. Please bear with us as this will take time, but we hear your feedback loud and clear. Best Regards The ICO Team

    Always accommodating and have never struggled to get an appointment. The WhatsApp service is extremely useful and efficient. I find it easier then calling and am dealt with quickly.

    They have made good progress with their appointment system especially with the whatsapp one. The receptionists are also very helpful.

    I love using this service. It's easy to use and I always get responses to queries made or anything I may not be sure about. You definitely get dealt with usually within three hours. No more long phone calls and getting no where, saves me going in person to the G.P. unnecessarily. The staff are always helpful, friendly and thoughtful. I get everything done using this service. No long waiting and getting frustrated. Absolutely brilliant. My daughter has just started to use it as well and she finds it helpful as she can state what she needs whilst at college. It's convenient to use. All surgeries should consider this service. It's free to use. Can't complain to be honest.

    Efficient and pleasant doctor Was surprised I had to go thru my symptoms as these had already been advised to a clinician thru your WhatsApp. Are these details not provided to doctor. Perhaps it would cut down time of actual appointment

    Dear Ellen - thanks for leaving your comments. The WhatsApp service is still somewhat new so we are gradually training all the staff on how to use it. You are correct, all the information captured via your conversation over WhatsApp is then transferred onto your patient record so this should avoid repetitious questions.     Before the introduction of the virtual assistant I was very close to finding a new doctors. On more than one occasion I’d spent an hour on the phone in a queue only to get to the top of the queue and be cut off. The WhatsApp experience has changed all this. It’s quick and easy and get you to the right person/service what feels like immediately.
