    The Dr rang me regarding my recent x-ray which I had done at the Royal Derby Hospital telling me that I have got Osteoporosis and I need to have some steroid injection putting in my left knee.

    I received a medication review over the phone. The lady was very kind and caring whilst also interested in how I was getting on. She seemed very knowledgable about the medication effects

    Was sent a reminder to make an appointment,went on line found a date and booked it.I then got a message confirming my booking.Doctor got In touch with me on the date and was on time.the system works well for me thank you.

    This practice has shown great initiative and worked really hard to improve upon its working practices and knowledge management/dissemination to its patients via newsletter, Facebook page, triage tool etc. Also witnessed some of the best practices in the GP consultation rooms, nursing staff and really hard working reception and pharmacy teams post pandemic during 2024. However, unfortunately had cause to visit GP surgery in Sep 2024 which has undermined all their efforts. The consultation included no examination, no monitoring of vital signs and no effort to establish if any red flag symptoms present which were particularly pertinent in this case. Thinking of leaving the practice although been there for all my life.

    When we rang the surgery we were offered an appointment for the same morning and the ANP we saw was very understanding and explained in a way that we understood came away very happy

    My wife made me my first appointment with the surgery as I had an ear problem and also needed to discuss test results,I got my ear sorted but as the appointment wasn't with a GP I couldn't get the answers I needed so will have to make another appointment!!

    I was so grateful how the practice pharmacy department and home visit team were able to check my Mother’s health concerns with her being bed bound when carrying out a medication review. Thank you so much.

    I spoke with a lady who's name begins with a R for my medical review.... She was one of the best I have ever discussed issues with. There we're a few things I needed to know and as promised she spoke to the relevant person and got back to me the next day. Very professional service would like it to be her for ever review

    Sometimes when making an appointment with a doctor your put with a paramedic and that’s ok some of the time But when I really needed to see a doctor I actually got to see one and he also then made me an appointment to see him one week later for a follow up The reception staff at horizon healthcare burton road are polite and friendly and that’s unusual for doctors receptionists The medical staff are brilliant the only improvement I can suggest is to stop using paramedics and put patients with doctors
