I was very impressed at how thorough and attentive my GP was in assessing a medical condition that was menopause related. I was examined carefully and made to feel at ease at all times. I was asked if I was happy with decisions that had been made for the next step. Excellent care as always from the Hollies medical centre from reception , right through to the GP consultation.

There are only two things that bother me ; the first is the impossibility of connecting to anyone under at least a half hour telephone wait, the second, not having any continuity with a named doctor. The notes on a computer screen are not me!

Last Saturday's flu jab session was so efficiently organised, warm welcome from clinicians and reception and we were jabbed and out again before our given appointment time. Excellent all round, thankyou

This practice has a great clinical team both the nurses and the GPs are excellent. The receptionists are also brilliant. However the recently introduced appointment booking system is undoubtedly very efficient from the perspective of maximising efficiency of the use of GP time, however the patient experience is really not good. Trying to book a non urgent appointment involved waiting 30 minutes for the phone to be answered, then to be told no more non urgent appointments were available to be booked that day and I could ring again tomorrow and try my luck.... This is to book an appointment in 2-3 weeks time, or send an email to the prescription email address, or use the online booking system which is only available between 8am and 8:30 am ie when most of us are travelling into work! I tried the email address which the very lovely receptionist had spelled out for me over the phone only to receive quite a patronising reply advising me I had misunderstood her and this email could only be used for prescriptions and that I should have followed the correct procedure for booking a non urgent appointment. So the next day I had a go at the 30 min slot for on line booking as I had a day off work, but it timed out at 8:30am before I'd managed to book an appointment! So then I rang again at 10am on the dot and managed to get an arrangement where a GP will ring me in 2weeks time between 8:30am and 1pm. I am not sure if this is to triage me for an actual appointment with a GP or whether this will actually be my appointment. This is awkward because if it's just triage I will be able to go about my jobs for that morning as I wait for my call. However if it is the actual appointment I don't want to be in a position where I am consulting about my personal medical matters whilst I'm standing in the street, driving, or in the supermarket queue so I will need to wait in till I get the call! All in all this system does not value my time or privicy as a patient, though I can see it works well for GP time management. I feel the booking system needs rethinking, why on earth can an online booking system not be available 24/7?

This has been my GP surgery for many years and I have always received the best possible service. Even during the lockdown period when there were difficulties seei g a doctor face to face.

Was invited by text from the practice to book a flu jab and went early Saturday morning. So organised and efficient, all the staff lovely and couldn’t have been a better experience. Feel well looked after.
