Review titled Absolute joke

The doctors are amazing. However I could have all my limbs hanging off and I still wouldn't get an appointment. After having a few major issues I have been forced to use other services as the GP is useless at giving out appointments. I would never ever let a friend or family sign up and go through the mind numbing hassle of trying to get an appointment.

Review titled Appalling non existent service
Rated 1 star out of 5

I have recently moved from another (much bigger) town - and had a relatively easy experience when accessing healthcare/booking GP appointments (not that I use them often at all). I reluctantly joined hart health because it was closer to my home. What I’ve found is the following - you cannot get hold of anyone unless you call at exactly 8am or 2pm, reception staff are abrasive and behave as though they have themselves been to university to study medicine. I mean why have doctors when a receptionist can diagnose you over the phone in 2 minutes. If the reception then decides you are allowed to see a doctor, they then say this (without fail) ‘I’ve got nothing for 3 weeks.’ Urgent appointments don’t exist. Routine appointments are booked for 4 weeks time. A very depressing and non functioning gp practice.

Review titled A very good medical practice
Rated 4 stars out of 5

As a chronic (ie since childhood, now in my 60s) asthmatic, albeit well controlled, if I have a bout of flu, a heavy cold, or more recently Covid, after the main symptoms have gone I am left with a lingering breathlessness, and am unable to speak full sentences as the day progresses. This always requires medication. I find Hart Healthcare Practice to always be as responsive as I could wish for it to be on these occasions, always calling me on the day if I submit an online report and, if that call then necessitates an appointment, usually giving me one on the day ot the day following. I find the reception staff to be helpful and the medical staff to be professional and caring. OK, sometimes I may not see my 'nominated' doctor, but I always see someone who is perfectly able to deal with my issue. We all know that the National Heath Service is under some financial and resource constraints but, within that landscape, I feel that the practice provide a first class service. We have a long term 'house guest' recently moved in, the partner of one of my sons, and I have had no hesitation in recommending she join the practice. And, as a final observation, when the reception sraff are sometimes a little 'frosty', it's usually in response to the way they are initially approached. Courtesy can take you a long way. And, yes, you may sometimes have to make sure that you call early on the day. But it's a busy practice.

Review titled Negotiating a care pathway
Rated 3 stars out of 5

After speaking with the surgery for four consecutive days, I am managing to seek appropriate treatment via this practice, but mainly falling on out of hours, and this process has not been easy and quite stressful. The big issue is not being able to see anyone. Although the triage system takes initial note of the issue, these are not always accurately captured and end up with a mix up of what you need - especially for an on-going issue. Being full by just after 2pm when the surgery re-opens is not sufficiently meeting the needs or demands. If you have a straightforward issue requiring a prescription then the system is fine. The surgery staff are very helpful and do their best to support, but you do need to constantly push and ask to get beyond another alternative such as speaking to a pharmacist (which was not an option for my treatment having already called our local pharmacy ahead ). There is no continuity of care meaning serious issues may get missed and some of the multiple calls with health care workers could have been avoided if I had seen someone in the first place for an on-going issue.

Review titled Frimley Health Review still thinks my GP is the retired one
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Frimley Health Review still shows my previous GP, even though he retired some months ago, before the merger of Branksomewood Centre for Health and Fleet Medical Centre. Otherwise, the new Hart Health Partnership practice is great!

Review titled Hit and miss
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Mrs Leslie Smith - Posted on 22 April 2023
1 year ago I had appointment for a lesion on my face and the person I saw was not a doctor. They did not use a dermatoscope but just looked at it with a naked eye and said it was nothing. 1-year later it had grown cosiderably so I called and got appointment in a weeks time. Within two weeks I received a call to go to Heatherwood Hospital Ascot to see a specialist. On this appointment it was looked at properly and was taken off at same time, I cannot now therefore fault this joint practice. Ps Apart from this one appointment at the former Fleet Medical Centre a year ago, I have always been happy with them giving my good care.

Review titled Worst Practice Possible
Rated 1 star out of 5
by K Brown - Posted on 27 June 2024
I have been a patient here (via Branksomewood) for 30 years. You cannot get appointments and if you win the appointment lottery and get one then you will probably see some technician and not a doctor. The nhs test you are supposed to have at 40, 50 and 60 have yet to happen. Today they sent me to an NHS Test Centre and when I got there I was told they could not do any tests and that Hart Health Partnership should have known that. I did manage to get an appointment in MArch for a very painful ankle I reported in early February. I got to see some kind of Muscular Skeletal person who told me I have flat feet, sent me for an x-ray. A few days later they called me to tell me I had not broken my ankle and to book a blood test ??? You are better off using Google than to visit this motley ship of fools.

Review titled No longer care

Online consult requesting a specific test for recurring problem. The reply was see a pharmacist spoke to three all said I needed GP consult a week later the specific test was undertaken antibiotics were prescribed. You cannot see a GP you get either senior nurse paramedic or junior doctor answers all queries. That is after you have to discuss your medical history with a receptionist to see if you can get appointment usually a telephone one. The changes made at the practice have turned them into one that just don’t care & will miss anything serious .
