Tried the triage system online for first time and within 20 minutes someone called me to set up appointment an hour later.

Using this new procedure with an online form I was skeptical. Trying to get a GP’s appointment has been a non starter and extremely frustrating. Being told by a GP to book a face-to-face when there are not any available despite each day trying at 10:30 I had given up hope. This new way I completed the form, got a call within 10 minutes and given an appointment within the hour. The only frustration was waiting in the surgery for well over an hour as the Dr was running behind but at least I got to see a Dr.

Dear Patient Thank you so much for your review. We changed our appointment system to a Total Patient Triage model 25.09.2024 after a lot of research, training and work behind the scenes. We are so pleased with the results and it is showing in our reviews. It has been scary for some patients and we are making sure that anyone who doesn't have access to wifi or a computer or isn't able to fill in a form, can still ring us and our wonderful care coordinators can help them fill in the form or do the form for them. This is working well, as these patients could be patients we need to spend more time and make sure they have access to other organisations. I am sorry that the doctor was running late, we do have emergencies in the surgery and also some patients need longer than others. I hope you were kept informed of the wait. A very experienced and professional team. A team in which I have great confidence. The staff are helpful and sympathetic at all times. I attended on Sunday 13th October for both flu and booster injections.

They continue to keep up to date with their training and we talk about empathy alot. Hi Susan Thank you for taking the time to review our weekend Flu clinic and mention how organised and efficient the system was. I will pass onto the staff how friendly you mentioned they greeted you. Many had done 3 weekends in a row helping at the flu clinics on top of Monday to Friday. We are so very luck with our staff and wonderful Care Coordinators. We sent out automatic booking links to patients, but also our care co ordinators help over the phone. Arrived at the surgery for my Sunday morning appointment to be surprised by a long queue. However, there were loads of cheerful staff making sure that things moved along quickly and 6 people administering the jabs. As a result we were all in and out really quickly and so many people were able to take advantage of a conveniently timed appointment. Thanks and well done Fairbrook team.
