Review titled Not efficient or effective
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2023
If you are lucky enough to somehow get a query to the practice the GP then sends you back multiple texts with more questions and no Accurx link to reply, so back to square one either being 14 in the queue for over an hour or trying to get an online request in for the phone call the GP has requested with you m, but doesn’t think it perhaps more efficient to actually call rather than text! No wonder there is increase in poor patient satisfaction that seems to come from poor managerial communication or process. We all know the staff are overworked, overwhelmed and workforce is sparse, but come on Crocus you can work smarted not harder - one touch would be a start for improvement rather than overcomplicating everything and putting in 4 steps when 1 is enough. Walk your patient journey and see the inefficiency it brings to the patient and the staff.

Review titled Every year they seem to get worse
Rated 1 star out of 5

It is simply impossible to get an appointment with them. When you call (at any time) you will be in a queue of at least 15 people (often a lot more) and it will take you at least half an hour to get through. But the answer is always the same "no appointments - try again tomorrow". The practise has 8 doctors (according to their website) and they won't let you book appointments for the future (only for that day). Even if you call at 8am and are 12th in the queue by the time you get through, all the appointments are gone... So what are these 8 doctors doing all day if they are only dealing with 12 appointments a day?!? They recently changed their computer systems making it harder to order your medication than it was before. And most of the functionality that the system they've bought has (obviously!) been disabled. So you can't see your records and you definitely can't book an appointment through it.

Review titled Impossible Situation
Rated 1 star out of 5

It is almost impossible to get hold of anyone at this Practice. I have been waiting for some personal medical details since November - I cant get anyone on the phone, I cant respond to texts that get sent in response to my queries etc etc. The whole system is broken and I guess that the only way to get attention is to go into the Practice and stand there until I get the details I need. I also feel really guilty about blocking up the system with my query when there are ill people trying to get to see a doctor, but I really do need this information urgently. I also dont understand the long lunch break - surely Practice staff can be rotated to allow everyone to have a lunch break without meaning that nobody can access services during that time?

Review titled Needs help

The surgery has waits of at least 1 hour on the phone most days. The battery on your landline phone very often runs out when on hold so would recommend using a mobile so you can charge it. The surgery has also tends to disconnect email communication by lunchtime so if you can email in the mornings. I’m not sure a 1.5 hour closure for lunch is necessary when it seems to be so busy. I fear it’s a matter of time before something serious is missed with the level of service being provided.

Review titled Worryingly Poor Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Mr Jason Stinton - Posted on 15 December 2022
Really worried about this practice as it has become almost unusable. I tried to get an appointment late summer, and using the online triage service was offered an appointment 2 weeks later. Was told I needed bloods taking. 2 cancelled appointments later finally had them done but never had any contact to tell me if they were good or bad. Now my medication has run out. Tried to get someone to call me by using the online service. Heard nothing. 50 minutes on the phone to be told that someone will call me back. Nothing. I now have no medication left and no where to turn. Shocking.

Review titled Worrying communication issues
Rated 1 star out of 5
by J F - Posted on 07 November 2022
Inept. Twice now they have arranged an appointment with my wife only to cancel it on the day or the day before with the excuse that in case 1, the right information wasn't written down, and in case 2 the required equipment had accidentally been loaned out. Communication seems to be a REAL issue here - and this worries me, because these are the people who we go to with health conditions. I know the NHS is underfunded and understaffed. I know things are hard. But even so there is a certain level of communication and organisation which simply seems to be missing here.
