Review titled Really frustrating trying to get repeat prescriptions
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 October 2023
Every time my “repeat” prescription is due I end up having to go and ring the GP, which I’m sure wastes both of our time. I’ve never once been able to get my prescription on time, it’s so frustrating. The GP blames the pharmacist and the pharmacist says it’s the GP’s fault, I might as well work there at this point.

Review titled Nightmare
Rated 1 star out of 5

Practice has their good and bad days and it’s not easy to get an appointment and if you do, consider yourself lucky. I have been with this practice for 4 months now focusing on me mental health issues but my GP has been gaslighting me from my first phone appointment to my last F2F app. Furthermore, little to no attention for my mental health/physical health and suggested 1 tablet for all my problems which i pointed out to him and he agreed that it’s not the solution and yet the audacity of this man to steer clear without providing actual concerns. I don’t know if he’s taken me for a muppet and made the whole experience a palaver for me. I’m stuck with no progress and 3 months wasted, leaving with more issues than when i joined him and now seeking genuine help away from this place. I would not recommend GP to anyone but i hope you get into good hands.

Thank you for raising your concerns but I am unable to respond to you directly as you not provided any contact details. We trying very hard to meet demand but this significantly outweighs demand - this is a national issue which the Government are attempting to fix. Our staff are exhausted.

Review titled Flawed telephone appointment system
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 January 2023
This practice uses a telephone appointment system which doesn't work at all well, and should be abandoned. I phoned the practice four weeks ago and was given a telephone appointment, which was yesterday. I am college lecturer and had put my phone on silent for a lesson and forgot to turn it back on again, as a student had come to see after the lesson. So I missed the call by two minutes. The doctor left a message saying he would call back in 10-15 minutes. He didn't. I waited for an hour and called the practice and they said he would call back shortly. I waited for another hour and a half (cycling home from work with phone in hand). He didn't call back. I phoned the practice back this morning and they said I would have to make a new appointment, which would be in more than two weeks. It's a completely flawed system which doesn't take account of the myriad circumstances that may arise and cause someone to miss a call and then have to wait 2-3 weeks for a new appointment. The practice should consider abandoning the system and only using face to face appointments.

Review titled Awful practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

Last time I went in the reception was unmanned and a queue developed. Eventually a receptionist appeared from outside having been shopping for party supplies. Arrived with cakes and crisps. No apology or explanation when I was finally seen. Some individual doctors are great once you have waited 4 weeks to be able to see them. Attitude of manager when you raise the above as a complaint is to fob you off and to not address the concerns you raise . Cannot wait to leave .

Thank you for raising your concerns, you haven't left any contact details for me to speak to you directly. This concern has never been raised with me before so I'm unsure whom you have spoken to at the Practice. We have never left the reception area unmanned, the staff can be away from the desk sorting out requests for patients but the reception is manned by at least one staff member each day between 8am and 6.30pm. The staff do NOT go shopping during normal working hours and are entitled to do so in their break period - you may have mis-perceived this. All NHS services are under extreme pressure and we actively encourage you to try an alternative provider. We hope your demands are better met elsewhere. Please feel free to contact me in writing at the Practice.
