Most of the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The practice is bright and clean. The only one criticism is getting a doctors appointment sooner.

In regards to the length of the wait time for a GP appointment, this is something we are constantly reviewing. At present it is a 3 working day wait for a routine appointment. I had an appointment today and I felt listened to by both the doctor and receptionist (who was busy when I need to ask a question but took time out to listen and answer my questions. Overall a positive experience. Thankyou.

Every Time I call, the reception staff they are pleasant and helpful. The GPs are always helpful and explain things in full

I was called in to see the doctor only a very short time after I arrived. She was friendly and put me straight at ease. I was examined and given all the information I needed in a way that was easy to understand. I felt very reassured by her knowledge and efficiency.

I was recommended by the practice to see my pharmacist first which I did. The pharmacist told me to contact my GP to arrange an appointment. This I did and was see the same day. Really attentive staff, couldn’t be more helpful. Would recommend to everyone

Seen at the arranged time. The Doctor explained my problems and what needed to be done now and to follow up. Completed his tests in a Professional and friendly manner.

I have never had issues with Chapel Group Medical Centre, believe I receive sufficient care each time and am always satisfied with my experience. There are some lovely reception staff, nurses and doctors have all been great. Appointments may not be immediate but I have found the wait time isn’t inconveniently long and I have always managed to see a doctor face-to-face.

I had to beg for a sicknote for bereavement , then was told that you can’t stay off work indefinitely when I questioned the time limit on grieving ! Last week my husband was admitted to CCU on life support with Sepsis , I rang for a sicknote to be told I’d have to wait a week even though I explained why it was needed & was told we’ll work know why your off don’t they & it can be back dated . Not good when you are all ready stressed about your loved one & don’t need the added stress of worrying about your job .

Dear Pamela, I am sorry that you had a negative experience with the practice and can only apologies for any added upset and stress this may have caused you at the time. FIT notes are legal documents that Doctors have the responsibility of issuing or refusing as these are linked to government payments. Rules around issuing FIT notes have changed and all patients requiring one now need to be seen Face to Face by their GP unless there are exceptional circumstances. After walking into the practice and explaining my worrying symptoms to the receptionist with no prior appointment, she took detailed notes and organised an appointment with a doctor the following day. The appointment was very thorough and the doctor took time to explain my symptoms. I was given an ECG later the same day and an X Ray the following day at hospital. Further tests were organised all within 3 weeks of my visit. I cannot thank the receptionists and doctor enough for attending to me in an urgent, professional manner at what was a worrying time.
