  2. Review titled Unable to see a Doctor

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Bernadette hibberd - Posted on 25 May 2024

Eye infection in both eyes and asked to see a dr but had to email pictures of my eyes and describe how they felt. My eyes were worse than they looked in the picture and was told to buy creams! It would have been quicker to see a Dr .

Dear Bernadette, I tried to ring you today to discuss your experience but both your home number and your mobile number went to voicemail. I will try to speak with you again but wondered in the meantime, when you read this reply, if you would be kind enough to ring me at the surgery when you get the chance so we can discuss if there is anything we can help you with further. With kind regards, Geoff Cook (Patient Liaison Officer).

  3. Review titled No empathy and rude.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 May 2024

After completing the complicated form send my request, then I got a call from the surgery to bask an appointment. The lady I’ve the phone was so rude, abrupt and show no empathy all. She gave me a date and time, which I could not commit to because I unfortunately, I do work a long way from my home as a live-in Support carer, but as I was gonna go down London next week I kindly asked if they can squeeze me in the day after I got back to London. Her tone of voice and just her attitude over the phone was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. She could not wait to get off the phone just because I was trying to see what dates and time they have available. I seriously really do not like going to the Doctor just because…. I only decided to book an appointment because I’ve try too many pain killers and they are not working. I dislike her attitude and her time of voice was very bossy and rude.

Dear Patient, thank you for leaving your comments which were really disappointing to read as your experience falls way short of the high standards we strive to achieve. I have spoken to our reception Manager who would be grateful if you could contact so that we can investigate what happened to you so that we can ensure this doesn't happen again. I would have contacted you straightaway myself but your review has been made anonymous. We look forward to hearing from you in due course so that we can help you and hopefully restore your confidence in this surgery. Kind regards, Geoff Cook (Patient Liaison Officer)

  4. Review titled Clinical Pharmacist in Hypertension Clinic

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Esther McCloskey - Posted on 01 May 2024

This was my first appointment in this setting The Clinical Pharmacist conducting the clinic had a pleasant unhurried manner and was polite and courteous throughout. He had obviously taken time to read my notes and submitted blood pressure recordings before I arrived and then proceeded to take a medical history as pertinent to my reason for attending .I was also asked some questions about my general wellbeing and lifestyle . He gave clear concise explanations to his recommendations and was receptive to answering my questions. By the end of the consultation I felt reassured that my raised blood pressure is being treated appropriately. As my home monitor is more than five years old he suggested I replace it .I will need to continue taking recordings at home as those measured today were elevated in comparison to my normal levels . I have been encouraged to return after a further period of home monitoring to assess if my medication is at the optimum. It was reassuring to be told that if it becomes necessary I could be referred for a 24 hour blood pressure monitor. I left the surgery feeling confident that the issue is being well managed and will be followed up judiciously. It was a pleasure to meet with such an approachable and competent clinician. He is certainly an asset to the Practice.

  7. Review titled Great GP Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs. Hasina Karim - Posted on 09 April 2024

Today I had a phone call from the practice clinical pharmacist who was extremely helpful He took time to explain my new medications and the advantages over my previous medication. I felt he was caring and patient. I now feel more comfortable with the medication change. He has offered further support with the planned increases in dose. I am grateful for his help and his care is typical of the staff at this excellent GP Surgery.

Medication lost. Repeat prescription requested 2 days ago by completing form at surgery. They have lost & are on academic training day so no one available to issue prescription. How do you lose a written request? Receptionists most unsympathetic both on the phone and in person

Dear Winsome, I was really disappointed to read your comments and that you had such a poor experience at the surgery when you tried to order your repeat prescription. Also, it was disheartening to read that the receptionist was unsympathetic to you as this is not the high standard we expect from our reception team. Firstly, regarding your prescription, I can see from your records that this has now been resolved but I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the admin problem and subsequent delay you encountered. Some patients find it helpful to use the NHS app to order repeat prescriptions as it is a quick and easy process to follow and negates the need for form filling and having to come into the surgery to drop it off. You can request, view, manage and track your prescriptions in the app too. With regards to the way you were spoken to by one of our reception team, I have spoken to our Reception Manager who has spoken to the member of staff in question to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding customer service with every patient interaction. I do hope that this reply meets with your approval and that it goes some way to restoring your confidence in the surgery. If you have any further queries regarding this reply, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help you. Kind regards, Geoff Cook (Patient Liaison Officer)
