I went in with a typed up list. It takes me all my mental time to book to go in, on the first place so I type up what's wrong or I need help with. I've learned now that it one appt and one issue. Which is fair enough isn't it. At least you can get seen here. The bvmg is a well run well organised patient centred practice. The reception staff are courteous respectful and helpful. And they are very busy. To get an appt to see the doctor you have to ring in at 0800 hrs in the mornings and you can press the no 1 on prompting. Listen to the options two one and the call is ended and the computer calls you back as if you been in the queue all the time. So it is easy enough. You have to be patient and understand how busy the Practice is. Tell the receptionist a bit about what your health problem is. To give the practice the chance to get started in thinking about your treatment. Once you done that you get your day and time. Make a note, type it into your calendar. And attend for the appt you've been given. My experience with the Dr who's in his final stages of becoming a fully fledged GP. These people are GOs with 10yrs of passed exams, now learning how a practice works whilst under the guidance of a senior GP. Mine was clever quick to help and explain things. He's booked my into get my ears done and given me the best spray. I am hopeless at drops. What can I say he dealt with me well I'm a pain as I don't sit still and I can't shut up. I get intrusive thoughts and speak out loud about anything unusual to me. The Dr ignored all of that and managed me well. What can I say? 10 out of 10 feels cheap. There are places one can't get to see a Dr in weeks in other parts of the country. Not here. They see you quickly and sort out a treatment plan for you. So this is a practice firing on all cylinders and up to their onerous task of looking after what is a tough part of the city to work in. I'm not qualified to judge the GP. Or the practice what do I know? All I can do is say they do very well for all of us here.

Had an appointment on monday morning with doctor weatherhead and I must say what a lovely caring doctor. He really did take the time to explain everything I needed to know about my medication and health issues. As always i very much appreciate the doctors the health care practitioners and the reception staff at bridge view,thank you to all of you.

I find the current appointment system extremely frustrating. I cannot for the life of me understand why I can’t make an appointment for the next available day/date that the preferred Dr. Is available like I can for example if I was making an appointment at the dentist or any other professional body?

Our appointment system is set for appointments to be released at 8am on the same day, these are also available to book online, and we also release appointments for a week in advance on each day at 8am for example Monday 8am will release appointment for that same day along with the following Monday. We will do our best to accommodate an appointment with your preferred clinician but our clinicians have set working days. If you wish to have online access to book appointments please follow this link to download the NHS app https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/ You are also welcome to complete an online econsult for any non-urgent medical issues, via the following link https://bridgeviewmedicalgroup.webgp.com/ You can complete an econsult 5 days a week, Monday - Friday between 8am - 4pm, your econsult will then be sent to us by email and we will acknowledge receipt of this within 48 hours of submission. Been in pain all week with arthritis to the point I could barely walk, I've had 3 attempts to get to see a doctor, 2 phone calls and an econsult finally got somewhere and told I would get a call today at 2.30, nothing so rang the surgery only to be told it was a mistake and the phone call would be next Friday and to ring surgery on Monday! Absolute joke, back to square 1.

My Daughter applied for a fit note on the 18th of December after having complex knee surgery she told them that her fit note ran out on the 22nd and was told they would back dated which was no good as she is a staff nurse and they would be expecting her back at work on the 22nd and as she is on crutches and has a knee brace on she was then told to call the surgery in the morning

From the first phone call at 8.00am to the reception staff, followed by speaking to the GP, nursing staff, paramedic staff etc every single NHS worker we encountered was excellent, acting swiftly with empathy and professionalism . Bridge view Medical group were also excellent at responding to my aging mothers needs providing a range of support, the speed of response was particularly impressive.

Iv always found doctors and nurses at this practice well mannered however sometimes getting an appointment is sometimes difficult but I suppose this is through demand. I have faith in the nhs that if my need was urgent one way or another I would be dealt with.
