Review titled Poor service

I have been registered with this practice for more than 15 years and in the latest 5 years, it is my view that there is a deterioration in the service offered to patients. You have to wait an hour on the phone to speak to anyone. There are no appointments to see doctors, no reviews of medication (cant see a doctor, as there are no appointments available) and there are no call backs for blood results. I have raised this with the doctors and reception staff and answer is the surgery is busy.

Dear Patient I am sorry to see that you have struggled to contact the Practice via the telephone. We are currently experiencing increased demand on our telephone lines and our patient services team has been working very hard to answer calls under the additional pressure. I recognise that difficulties in accessing the Practice can be extremely frustrating for our patients and I apologise unreservedly for any upset or inconvenience. You can also request an appointment by attending the Practice reception from 8am or using our online option. Kind regards Patient Experience Team

can never get through in a morning , if and when you do no appointments left, i would rather suffer than go through the process, over an hour in que and still above 28 in que, i work and have to spend my lunch hour waiting in a morning so have no actual dinner, surely a better way than this with todays technology

i’m sending this complaint as it’s disgraceful trying to speak to anyone there 77 calls to speak to someone in one day is not good enough. the call concerned my brother who’s in hospital. i want to say also why can’t you put your prescriptions in the box there anymore . it’s the only practice i know that doesn’t do it . also can’t get an appointment anymore on line a month in advance but i’m sure that’s been stopped as well and to get an appointment is ridiculous

My daughter is petrified of doctors due to bad experiences in the past. The doctor saw today completely reassured, ask her permission before he did a check on her (this led to multiple permissions), explained everything to her and spoke to her directly, this made her feel calm, less anxious and she engaged in conversation with him, I highly recommend this doctor and the practice

Review titled Awful service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Geraldine Wilde - Posted on 27 October 2023
Trying to get appointments here is a joke. When you call at 8 by 5 past it says all appointments have gone. I find it hard to call Daily at 8 due to working. How is anyone meant to get an appointment? Daughter has been suffering for over 18 months with daily migraines and the gp has said to call back to keep trying different medication, all I ever get is take her to walk in or 111. I know lots are wanting appointments but this is beyond a joke not being able to make pre booked appointments. Not everyone can sit at 8 and wait to be called back (and even that service doesn't work well when it takes 3 hours +) change the system because its clearly not working.

I tried to call for an appointment at 8am but couldn’t get through so I rang 111.They advised I call the doctors again to advise 111 have referred me and I need an appointment. I rang the doctors and waited approx 1 hour 30 mins in a queue. When my call was answered I was told no appointments are available and I need to either go the hospital or walk in centre. I went to the hospital and was then referred back to the gp to make an appointment. I went to the doctors straight away from the hospital to then be advised by the receptionist in the doctors that I need to call the doctors again in the morning at 7:59am to join the queue to book an appointment. I explained I did that this morning and couldn’t get an appointment. She asked me what was wrong with me. I explained my health concerns and got no response. I was then told i could make an appointment online. I explained I am new to the surgery and never have been advised of this. The receptionist set me up onto the online system and told me not to get too excited about booking an appointment online as it’s busy. This is absolutely shocking and not professional. I have never seen a doctor face to face since I have joined that surgery since 2021. I’m really disappointed.

Review titled I can't get an appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5

I've been having really bad anxiety to the point where I can no longer leave the house since half of the time I'm stuck on the toilet, so for the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get an over the phone appointment since I can't go in, the phone gets cut off, so I did it through the NHS app and I finally had a phone appointment, I was waiting all day and no one called me. I don't have a life anymore I need help and no one is helping me

Review titled The worst practice ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by edyta kolodziej - Posted on 04 September 2023
I called today about my husband, of course there was no appointment available, even though the lady was informed about the earlier call to 911. We're going to emergency immediately. I haven't seen a doctor in person for a long time, and if I did, it was only by phone. I understand that the doctors working there are superheroes and can x-ray a person by talking to him on the phone and based on that they determine whether someone is healthy or not. the worst clinic I have ever been to!!!
