Having been a long standing patient the last six months have seen a great improvement to all patient services since the arrival of the new practice manager. Having had dealings with her directly over the last few weeks she appears to be a much needed and positive breath of fresh air for the surgery after years of frustration I now feel much more content in dealing with my surgery. Long may it continue!

Will not mention the problems getting to see a doctor, Firstly l contacted the Carlton surgery, spoken with the receptionist and asked if l could get a call back with a doctor, But see wanted to know personal details about my condition, this l was not happy with,but continued, l gave her all my systoms and conditions, which she said she is not medically trained and said l needed to speak to a doctor!!!¡!!!!, really what do you think l am trying to do, it's you making me tell you my personal health issues, Finally l got a phone call,again not from a doctor but a receptionist, saying the doctor has prescribed a cream for my condition, which when ready for collection, we will text you. I also ask if l could see a doctor regarding my prostate condition ,so an appointment was given, l saw the doctor who prescribed tablets, which l could pick up from Carlton, l explained that l was still awaiting some cream from 4 days earlier, he said they would contact me. Today 8,9,23 , it's been 11days awaiting my cream. And 7days awaiting for the tablets, so l called into the Carlton surgery l explained the situation, they said they have had the cream for over a week ?, But the tablets had only just arrived, so you've had the cream for over a week, so l have been in discomfort for an extra 7days, because you couldn't be bothered to connect me to come and collect, l bet if it affected you ,you'd get the call, very unprofessional, do you know what is going on, as a practice you need to train your staff better and to look out side the box, as their actions or lack of, affects people's welfare, and its avoidable if people do their jobs properly, sorry but it's true.

I rang today and the receptionist could not have been more helpful. He was kind and sympathetic, polite and very helpful.

Have recently moved to Selby two years ago. Having worked on reception for a GP Surgery for 13+ years I would like to say how delighted I am with the service care and professionalism at Beech Tree. I know how difficult it can be to get an appointment however the surgery is doing it's best and will get you in to see or speak with a GP. This morning I needed a repeat prescription item which is not on my repeat script. The receptionist who called me was very pleasant I felt she genuinely wanted to help me. Thank you so much for sorting this out for me with such speed and professionalism. I would like to thank you all at Beech Tree for your continued support help and understanding. It's a difficult job.

I had a query concerning links for a Covid jab. This was handled very efficiently. The communication was friendly, clear and very understandable. The resolution was quick.

I had an issue with my repeat prescription and multiple pharmacies, and l had critical mefs that couldnt afford to be delayed and thanks to my brill reception team, l had most of what l ordered the next day. They were so helpful and kind, but saying that, they always are anyway.

I needed a repeat prescription and to register on line for an elderly relative with no internet access. The receptionist I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and sorted on line access.

The online booking system now in place is fabulous! No more hanging on the phone frustratingly at 8am to try get through. Appointments are triaged for urgency and sometimes sending a photo of the problem means no visit which speeds up things. Today I had to call back and was allowed to keep my place in the phone line without hanging on, had this not been the case I would have had to hang on the line 50minutes. The reception lady was polite, professional and caring and offered to text me my nhs number to collect a prescription from any pharmacy. The clinical practitioner system also works great at getting people helped. The NHS is not perfect but I find Beechtree are doing all they can to improve the service to their patients. Thankyou!

I was desperate for someone to check a problem with my foot today. Although it was clear that the surgery was extremely busy with booked appointments and more urgent health problems I was offered a short notice appointment with a Health Practitioner who immediately diagnosed the problem, gave advice and prescribed medication. I offer my heartfelt gratitude to all staff involved who processed my requests in a friendly, caring and professional manner.

I rang two weeks ago to book my son in for an appointment, I was advised that I would need to book online as no appointments could be taken over the phone. I was sent a link. On the same day I clicked the link to receive a message that it was not accessable. I have tried to log on today as the school term has finished and cannot access on line when I have called back I am told the surgery is closed due to training and will not be available until tomorrow again. This is a terrible service for those of us with little time and are trying to continue to work and deal with issues that arise which need addressing at the time not weeks later.
