  1. Review titled Top class

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Have read many poor reviews but any issues are down to rapid population growth and under investment by the incumbent government and not the local medical centre. I logged my medical issue, had a face to face within 2 hours ,tests sent and returned within 48 hours and required treatment prescribed within the hour. All staff were pleasant , professional and efficient. Special mention to the Paramedic Urgent Team at Glenside who promised a lot and duly delivered. Sincere thanks to all involved.

On the last two occasions I’ve visited the GP Practice after signing in I didn’t have to wait very long before my name was called to see practice nurse. The practice nurse explained every thing that I was having done and gave me a few health tips to which I appreciated. Always very friendly happy staff and always ready to help with any questions you may have. Excellent 100%

Fast reliable service, very helpful, understanding, compassionate and performed professionally. Doctors contacted me when they said they would and gave good advice and reassured me about my condition, explained in good detail, which really helped me.

  4. Review titled Asthma review

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Sara Chapple - Posted on 26 June 2024

On Thursday 13th June I submitted a paper repeat prescription for both of my children via the drop in box outside of the station road surgery. A week later the inhalers were not sent to the pharmacy so I went to the doctors to ask why. They said both children needed a review. Had I not gone to the doctor then I would not have known this as I receive no email or txt to notify that there was an issue. I was asked to complete an E consult. On two separate days when I tried to do this it told me the surgery wasn’t excepting E consults at that time. The surgery eventually did this for me. My eldest son was asked to complete a review online, which he did. 5 days later there is still no inhaler at the pharmacy and we have received no feedback to explain why or what to do now! I will now have to go back to the doctor surgery to find out what I’m supposed to do. All the while my son has no inhaler which considering he has asthma is not exactly ideal! Better communication is needed and a better process for ordering inhalers that have previously been prescribed without issue!

  5. Review titled Inefficient administration processes

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Doctor initially omitted activating my prescription. The cream wasn’t available- I had to notify the practice. Was passed incorrect info on two separate occasions as to how I would be notified when revised script was ready. Process took more than a week for me to finally receive the medication I needed. Left feeling frustrated and extremely undervalued as a patient. Seems patients are now responsible for filling the gap in communication between surgery and pharmacy. Not acceptable.

  6. Review titled Very busy practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

My experience has been positive. Rang surgery at 9.00. Spoke to doctor at 10.00 and had prescription by end of day. I do feel there are times when a face to face appointment is more appropriate. Some years ago when you went to surgery the doctor knew my problem by the way I walked! It would be useful if the econsult could be used weekends and evenings. This is the only time working people can use the system. On the whole I’m satisfied with the care I’ve received and find all the doctors in the practice I’ve seen are very kind and caring.

Following an e consult I was given a timely phone call consultation and subsequently offered an appointment very quickly. The GP was excellent in discussing my problem
