    My sister arrived at mine from Tunbridge Wells. I could see she was really ill. I contacted the Surgery and my sister had to be registered which was done very quickly. We then had an appointment with a Paramedic as it was urgent. He diagnosed Temporal Arteritis and put her on 8 steroids a day. She recuperated very quickly and went to her Doctors when she returned to Tunbridge Wells. they had a lot of praise for the Paramedic diagnosing the illness. I know not his name.

    I met with the skeleton specialist re a shoulder problem and she was excellent. Very friendly and positive but also very professional. I left feeling optimistic and positive. Thank you.

    The nurse was very helpful and gave me lots of information, and links to where I could get further help. She was kind and patient. I have received excellent care and support from this practice at every visit and have been referred for further tests when necessary. All this done under the very difficult circumstances that we have all been though. So well done everyone involved!

    I called the surgery because I have been on medication for blood pressure and cholesterol now for over a year. I needed the OK to continue getting my meds from the pharmacy. That has been accomplished, very efficiently, over the phone. Thank you. But I was expecting to see someone, to have my bloods done, to check on blood sugar, and discuss my blood pressure, which I take regularly. I had wanted to discuss a diet change or exercise programme to bring BP down and lower blood sugar levels. For instance, I still get prescribed twice as much Rosuvastatin as I can tolerate. There has never been any discussion or feedback on how I am doing on these meds. I realise I am not an emergency. I am just a regular 75 year old, who is attempting to stay as healthy as possible. But I miss real live contact with my GP. Things are very efficient, but My GP no longer knows me or has a chance to understand, for instance, how my daughters current breast cancer diagnosis and treatment has affected my life, in that I need to help her with child care for her 4 and 6 year old, so I need to strong and healthy. I have always admired and respected my GP. He is a very personable young man, who was willing to really talk to me. Now, I feel we really no longer have a working relationship, as human beings, because the system has become so impersonal. Mostly, the information is all one way. I get texts from the surgery, but cannot reply to texts. A doctor had seen and dealt with my telephone request, but nobody let me know that this had been completed. I had to call the surgery again, to find that my prescription had been OKed. In summary, the system as it stands, stops the amazing doctors and nurses working tirelessly within it, to know their patients well. I cannot believe they are enjoying it either. I suspect they feel they are running and never catching up. This cannot be rewarding for them. It certainly is not rewarding for me.

    Dr listened to what I was saying, made notes then checked whether I wanted a chaperone before examining me. Her explanations were clear and she then arranged any further appointments I needed.
