I have been a member of this practice for about 15 years and have always received the best care possible. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and have undergone surgical treatment for this. Thankfully l was told in May that l am cancer free and didn’t need chemo or radiotherapy. Despite being overjoyed that l was cancer free l was left with complications from the surgery and am still having weekly treatment for this. During the past 7 months l have experienced a range of emotions from being scared to death, anxious and relieved in equal measures. Throughout this time all the staff at Urban Village Medical Practice have played a part in helping me cope and working together to get me fit & healthy. The friendly receptionists and other admin team have always been so helpful and made sure that any queries have been responded to in a timely manner and l have received a phone call or appointment if needed. I have received excellent care from the pharmacist, practice nurses & GP’s who have not only been there to care for my medical issues but also provided much needed reassurance and advice on my mental health, which had really suffered during this time. I am so thankful that myself & my family are registered with such a lovely, caring, professional GP practice that has always put its patients at the heart of everything it does and provides excellent care despite the many challenges that all NHS services are experiencing at the moment.

We're really pleased that you are now cancer free but we know the effects of treatment can stay with you for years physically and mentally. As you mention there are so many professionals working with us at the practice now its not always a GP that you need to see, our team will make sure you talk to the person that is best suited for your particular issue. I have been a patient with uvmp for 20 years and have nothing but praise for them. The doctors & nurses are professional and caring and will help you with any health problem. All staff are caring, warm and compassionate. They will fit you in on the same day or offer you a same day telephone call. They have an online system which works well for explaining your problems and what you need. my gp is the most amazing one there. She has supported me since I have been a patient and is so caring, understanding and genuine. She always listens to me and goes the extra mile. I am grateful to have such a fantastic gp and access such a brilliant medical practice. The care is outstanding and they help so many people including homelessness, substance misuse and mental health. If they read this. Thank you :)

I contacted the practice this morning with a problem that was causing me to be very anxious, the person I spoke to was really helpful and made me feel better. They arranged for me to see a doctor this morning and I am reassured about my problem Thank you for everything you do

very impressed with the practice. Submited an online form requesting emergency contraception. Was called the same day by a very knowledgeable doctor and received my prescription straight away. Then booked in for an appointment later in the week for a long term solution. All options were discussed fully and with kindness. Urban Village have a great team from the reception to the doctors and nurses. Thank you

Hear so many horror stories about different people and their GP experiences but I never have nothing but good to say. The entire team are so patient focused and do a great job, even in the current situation with longer than normal wait times. They call when they say they are going to call and keep you informed which I know isn’t always the case with GPs’s workloads at the moment.

I was invited to attend the practice in person following an internet triage system earlier on the same day. The doctor gave me their full attention and explored various possible causes for my symptoms and proposed a range of investigatory procedures, always checking that I understood her plan of action. They also engaged in light problem-free conversation, making me feel respected and valued as a human being. It was a thorough holistic assessment. I left feeling very reassured. Excellent experience.

This practice goes above and beyond to help its patients. They offer same-day and routine appointments. All requests are triaged by GPs, and there are never more than four people queuing to get through to reception, unlike other practices I've heard of. They are very professional and offer a wide range of services to the local community. They also give their patients time instead of rushing through the appointment.

Urban Village is the best GP surgery I’ve been to. The online forms are easy to use, the team is very responsive. I usually get a confirmed appointment within 2 to 3 hours, same day if relevant. They are also good at making sure you don’t miss anything, as when they called me after my son was born to register him at the practice. The care is good and the staff is very friendly, I couldn’t fault it.
