    My husband and I have been patients at the Albany Practice for many years and have recently noticed a marked improvement in accessing the surgery. Telephone calls are answered swiftly and an appointment with a GP can be made within a two week period. Receptionist staff are courteous and helpful and the nurses pleasant and friendly. Our GP, Dr Rahman, is caring and patient with a calm and reassuring manner. Overall we have no complaints and great peace of mind that the Albany Practice us within our easy reach.

    After having bloods done in November 2022, not having a follow up until Jan 2023, to then have to hwve another blood test to then have to wait a further 2 weeks for a follow up woth my gp.. icant blame the surgery as such as only heaving 1 surgery for so many people doesn't help. I think they need to look at follow up calls in a different way

    I'm fairly new to the practice and I have to say that this practice must be the worst I've ever experienced in all my 47 years on this planet. Pretty much received rubbish service every time I've had any contact with this place - face to face aswell as via telephone. The reception staff are rude and simply don't care about good customer service, not sure if it's the same person I seem to get stuck with every time I've called, one of the young girls is ok. The Dr I saw seemed fine, however, after my check up there has been zero follow up despite what he told me it could be. I don't feel these people should be employed by the nhs, clearly they don't have the right attitude. Also I had full blood count done and the health care assistant first off informed me the entire borough does not have the small injections so I have to have a big one and it might hurt, obviously this scared me immediately and then to my horror I had a bruise the size of my entire forearm which was not only painful but black and purple lasting about 1 month. Awful experience.

Regarding your comments of the small needles, there is currently a national shortage of these smaller needles for blood tests which has been ongoing for some time and unfortunately we have not been provided with an update as to when this situation is going to be resolved, so unfortunately this particular matter is out of our control but we do apologise.     Good one. I would recommend it to my friends. Just 1 issue - maybe you can offer more tests (allergy), preventive tests (gynaecologist), mammographies for those who have cancer concerns due to precious family history

    Dear Patient, Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review for our practice. We do really appreciate this. Thank you for the four star rating also! In relation to the issue that you mentioned, speaking generally without knowing the details for you personally, there are some tests that cannot be offered in primary care, therefore if it is clinically correct you would be referred to a specialist clinic in secondary care for further investigation / treatment (ie in this case there are some allergy tests that we cannot perform in the surgery so we referral to a specialist allergy clinic if this is appropriate) Many procedures / tests cannot be offered to patients for various reasons, some include these not being available on the NHS / in primary care, or age restrictions that are set out by the NHS for certain tests being offered (ie for a mammogram you are invited for breast screening from the age of 50 in most cases as that is the criteria set by the NHS - there are some other pathways that can be taken for investigations but this would be filtered to a patients specific symptoms) Sadly these criterias are not set out by the GP surgeries themselves so it is not something that can be changed by us.     It took courage to book up the appointment. I then had to wait 3 weeks for it. On the morning of the appointment I received a text saying g my telephone appointment had been cancelled. I booked a face to face!

We understand that sometimes clinicians are unwell or there are emergency situations where clinics and appointments are cancelled.     Finally this practice is getting its act together and providing a good service. The nursing staff are very good and dealing with blood tests effectively. Also reception are referring to doctors when tests have have been received.

    I like that I was listened to and also explained what the next stages were to be.. didn't need a face 2 face call for what I needed the Dr for so agree with certain appointments being over the phone

    We are registered with the Practice since last six years and we are very satisfied with the service and the treatment of the staff we receive on our visits and even on the phone the receptionist are efficient, polite and courteous. We do not hesitate to recommend to our friends.

    I had to get a wound check after I was treated for a fall at a London hospital. Staff here are always patient with me as I don’t know the system. Thank you. Nurse I saw was so kind and helpful. This was the second time I’d seen her for something and so I know it wasn’t a one off experience.
