    I visited the surgery twice in December for separate non urgent issues concerning my two children. Although it's now taking longer to get a non urgent GP appointment, I have every confidence that the staff at Aire Valley have done a great job at triaging appointment requests. Each time we saw the GP she was thorough and took the time to explain different treatment options. I'm really grateful to have such a good a GP practice. Thank you Aire Valley.

    I feel very lucky to have you this surgery as our practice. The staff are excellent, including the doctors, nurses and administrative staff. They deliver top class service and nothing is too much trouble. In addition, we regularly make use of the online reception which is an invaluable resource. I know many people I speak to (who are registered with other surgeries) have to sit and wait in lengthy queues on the phone to get an appointment - not for us! Thank you Aire Valley Surgery!

    Was sent a text a month ago to book my yearly check up this I duly did told reception that I got text to book yearly check. On arrival found that I was booked in for covid and flu jab. Another 3 week wait and half day wasted

    Thank you for taking the time to share your second public review, however please be aware that if you have any concerns to share we do have a process for contacting us directly inhouse. We cannot thoroughly look into individual cases reported solely on here without being able to confirm the patient details unfortunately due to patient confidentiality. It may be misleading to other patients if we are not able to explain where any misunderstanding may have arisen. I am very sorry to hear that you attended yesterday for what you understood to be a Clinic A/Annual review and found that you had instead been booked into a COVID/flu appointment. Although we can't comment on individual cases on here as it is a public forum, I'd usually be able to locate call recordings to be able to understand what happened. Please contact the practice and let us know when you called please so that we can try and then locate that call as we haven't been able to as yet. What is particularly unusual here is that all the appointments for covid and flu this week were all self-booked by the patients directly who received a specific text message link inviting them to book for a covid/flu appointment. All patients usually have a text reminder confirming what appointment it will be and one appears to have been sent to our covid/flu patients this week. It may be that there may be some misunderstanding here. I'm glad to hear that your review has been booked now, but would welcome you getting in touch with the practice directly to understand what happened so that this can be reviewed.

    Since joining the surgery in September, I've had need for more than the average amount of appointments. The service provided by the surgery has been excellent. From the receptionists to the doctors, attentive, polite and highly professional. Thankyou too all of you for been so caring and compassionate.

    I asked for a prescription late notice as I forgot to order and Christmas was coming up. They sorted it the same day. Also when I have requested an appointment for my children then have given me an appointment at the practice most convenient for me within days

    It is extremely difficult to get an appt with this practice yet, at the height of the flu season, the surgery which shares premises with another practice was completely empty - apart from me. Receptionist very dismissive

    I was sincerely sorry to read your feedback and hear that you have found it difficult to get an appointment with us. That's very surprising to hear. We currently have plenty of routine appointments within 2-3 weeks (even despite a long bank holiday) and also same day appointments for anything urgent. Anyone can have an appointment, but we simply ask the GP team to review any urgent requests so that we prioritise the most poorly first. Everyone can easily get an appointment under our new system, however whether it's today or in 2/3 weeks is assessed on clinical need. There should however not be anyone without an appointment, so if this is your situation do please get back in touch. This week we have been very very far from quiet, after Christmas it's been the busiest time of the year. Nearly 250 patients had appointments on Wednesday. Nearly 300 patients had appointments on Thursday. I'm sorry, I don't know why the waiting room was quiet at the moment that you arrived, but that is not a sign of the practice being quiet. I am disappointed that you have chosen to judge / rate us poorly on that basis. An empty waiting room is a snap shot in time and doesn't reflects how hard everyone has been working this week. As you rightly say, we're in the middle of flu season, covid infections, strep A, etc and it's been extremely busy plus very exceptional circumstances after the bank holiday. It may be helpful to note that have two sites and patients are booked to go to which ever site has the urgent care staff working there that day. Sometimes Yeadon is quiet whilst Rawdon is busy and vice versa. Many patients prefer a telephone appointment so they don't need to come in to have an appointment, but the GP calling them is still using an appointment. Between morning and afternoon surgery the GPs go out to visit the housebound patients who can't get into the surgery, so often the waiting room is quieter over lunchtime. There are may reasons we may have been quiet when you attended our waiting room, but please be assured that everyone has been working exceptionally hard this week. If you have found it difficult to get an appointment, please contact us again directly (not on here as we can't look into individual cases in a public forum due to confidentiality) but we would be very happy to try to understand what has happened and why. We can further review the circumstances of why you have experienced that.

    I received text message to pop in and use surgery blood pressure machine in waiting room. Comments: a) It was not user friendly. The cuff was fiddly for someone on their own to use, having to thread through a metal bar. Nurse happened to notice as she came out of a door & demonstrated or I might have been there yet! Blood pressure probably went up a bit as a result. (there was a smiley here but apparently this review couldn't go ahead with that included!) My own Omicron is simple straightforward wraparound. b) The text message did not mention that they would have accepted my own readings, as per the notice by the machine. Could have saved me the trip. c) No bin by the machine for disposing of used wipe, the receptionist couldn't take it, so I walked out holding it and happened to notice the used Ppe bin by the outside door so used that. d) The website email contact link doesn't work as I discovered when I was going to get in touch with this info!

    I have been a patient at the surgery for over 30 years I have always been able to get an appointment very quickly. Now we have to do it on line which I find easier than having to wait on the phone. Depending on my needs I have had a call back on the same day and been offered an appointment on the same day or within 2 days. I'm pleased with the service I have received
