  1. Review titled Wonderful service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Satisfied customer - Posted on 30 July 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional care my husband received by one of the doctors. My husband had a problem swallowing food and was really worried, he was seen promptly by the doctor and after examination was referred to be seen within two weeks, within that time frame he had an endoscopy and various tests and the results came back quickly, the fast and professional way it was handled is to be applauded, this is not the first time that my family has had wonderful care from Abbey Road Surgery. While I was in the waiting room I looked around at the notice boards and read all the information and I was impressed by the range of services that this surgery provides and I am astounded. We are so lucky to have all this help available, Thankyou doctors and staff, keep up the good work

  3. Review titled Flu clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mark - Posted on 03 October 2024

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional flu clinic that was held today. I bought my elderly mum In and It was so smoothly run and there was no rushing to get my mum in and out. The staff were talking to her and they were so helpful and they even got my mum to check her blood pressure so she didn’t have to come back. Very caring Well done Abbey Road

Last night 6th February I attended a PCN arranged event at Halsey Hall in Cheshunt . The turnout was excellent, the amount of information given to the patients was phenomenal, I did notice that the leaflets and information that was available was also in the surgery on the table in the waiting room, the help is all there for those that need it, we’ll done Abbey Road

  6. Review titled Wonderful service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 February 2024

Having had a burst blister on my ankle, I made an appointment with the practise nurse which was given within a couple of days, she was prompt and very thorough, she cleaned and dressed it and gave me some dressing to put on after two days and told me make an appointment so she could see he it was getting on, I came out of the room and the receptionist gave me a time with no trouble, the follow up was that it it’s healing nicely and that if I needed to go back not to hesitate and she would see me, I couldn’t ask for more satisfactory service, we are so lucky to have the professional people at our surgery, I just wish that other people who write negative reports would use the service this surgery has to offer

  7. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Satisfied patient - Posted on 13 December 2023

After being told I had earwax by an audiologist I asked at the surgery if they did wax removal and to my surprise they said yes, the nurse confirmed it and told me to come back in a week after using olive oil to soften it, this I did and it was done very successfully, my surprise in this is because when I mentioned it to my friends who belong to different surgeries they said that theirs didn’t have this service. I count myself very lucky to be a patient at abbey road, I always get an appointment within two weeks, and also have spoken to a doctor with no trouble, whilst in the waiting room I noticed quite a few other services, which I think is something we as patients should be grateful for

  8. Review titled Very happy with this Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Patient - Posted on 24 October 2023

I phoned the Surgery at 8.30am, as I'm in my 70's and needed an appointment. I was very surprised that it only took about 7 minutes to get through to a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. A vast improvement on the telephone lines! I was given an appointment with the Minor Illness Pharmacist, as I needed to be examined for a possible chest infection. She did all the tests that a Doctor would have done, oxygen levels, temperature, sounded my lungs from the back (but over my clothes as I was so cold), she was very empathetic and asked questions about my symptoms, duration, and discussed which antibiotics would be suitable for me. I felt very comfortable with her and confident with her knowledge and treatment. I'd be more than happy to see her again, if I needed an appointment. I also had my Flu and Covid vaccines at the Surgery recently and this was also very well organised. I really have no complaints at all with Abbey Road Surgery because the new Appointment System and the decreased waiting times to get through to them are significantly improved!

  10. Review titled Not Impressed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 04 July 2023

I am a new patient and are 74 and housebound. There is a waiting time of at least 1/2 to an hour for a phone to be answered. I was told to email Blood pressure readings to the practise and nowhere can I find an email address - one wasn't offered and receptionist was impatient to end the call, more or less cutting me off I have been registered for online services but when I entered details I was told there was an error and to contact the practise which has a phone waiting time of an hour. I get that the staff are under pressure but even so a little patience/compassion for an new elderly patient would help. I had to register with a practise as I moved home and honestly I wish I had chosen another one.

Dear Patient Thank you for your comment. All comments are taken seriously and used to learn where we can make improvements. Apologies if you felt you did not receive the quality of service you would expect to receive. On a daily basis, we received between 250 to 300 phone calls a day, depending on what time of the day you call, wait time could vary. We also have internal system pop up alerts to notify the care navigators for things such as if a patient is house bound, has dementia, has learning disability, etc, this enabling our care navigators to deal with the patient more effectively. Whenever we request a patient to email any information and if the patient does not have our practice email address, we send it to the patient via a text message. Unfortunately, patient must mention to us if they do not have the practice email address, we would not automatically send a text message with our practice email address. Online services, the login details are created by the system and same information is given to the patient. Without looking at the error message and further investigation, we are unable to comment any further. To improve your future experience with us, please see our practice website with information on our practice policies, procedures such as appointments, repeat prescription, DNA, etc. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact the practice manager.
