My recent experience with this dentist has been ridiculous. It was not possible to get through on the phones (I tried multiple times over several days), I received no response to my email and was unable to book online. Finally managed to get an emergency appointment which was confirmed twice by email after consistently calling from the minute they opened. I arrived ahead of schedule, was checked in and waiting for 15 mins before being called over to the desk and informed my appointment had been cancelled because the dentist was overrunning. Having been in pain for several days you can imagine how well that went down. I refused to move having taken time off work and travelling for the appointment. You cannot have someone come all the way in and be sat in the waiting room to then cancel their appointment because the dentist just decides to. I was advised it could be booked for the following day which I rejected as who was to say the same thing wouldn’t happen again. The receptionists were good, they negotiated with the dentist and managed to get me seen but the dentist once met, was not happy with having so do so. I very much feel sorry for the receptionists who no doubt get the brunt of peoples frustration when the dentist cancels someone’s appointment. During my wait they were ringing people and cancelling more appointments. Quite comically my check up appointment booked the following week, months in advance was cancelled (good job I checked whilst there!) because the dentist no longer worked past 1.30pm on Tuesday anymore! I assume they were going to call me the morning of the appointment rather than allow me to go there only to be told again that it was cancelled?? I understand there are pressures on most services these days but you cannot expect to treat your existing customers this way. If you do, your receptionists need a significant raise to make the grief they will no doubt receive, worth it! I was left upset, in a great deal of pain and very frustrated, having to beg for a dentist to see me as I had booked as I should have amd arriving as directed and that is not fair to put people through that experience.

The admin team are kind, helpful and understanding and the dentist I saw was outstanding. Sadly the telephone service can be patchy with calls taking ages to get picked up, and calls often being dropped which may be a technical issue - but if you prefer email then they are excellent. And if you struggle with technology they are very supportive.

I always find that the treatment I get from all the staff, especially my dentist, is professional and considerate to my needs as a patient. They take care of me very well.

My Friday checkup was thorough, allowing for feedback on gum issues from an earlier hygienist appointment, an X-ray and a repair for a large fractured filling. All completed competently, pleasantly and in a timely fashion. I’m impressed, thank you

ery impressed with the dentists that work here. A routine check (quick and easy and charged accurately at NHS levels) led to a suggestion for more work. However a later discussion led the work not being carried out as it wasn't strictly needed. The practice listens to patients and has an ethical approach to choosing treatment plans. I am confident they understand my approach to care and will not carry out work merely to have something to bill for.

I've had mixed experiences at this practice. There is a rapid turnover of dentists. I had an unpleasant appointment this week with one I hadn't seen before, who was brusque, difficult to understand and had zero bedside manner. I was upset and anxious after seeing them, but luckily saw the hygienist straight afterwards who was able to offer a clearer explanation and more reassurance. I much preferred my previous dentist but he left: I have asked not to see this one again. Generally the practice runs OK but it can be difficult to get an appointment. It is no longer the university dental practice it used to be, so it seems to have more patients than it can cope with. In the pre-appointment questionnaire, I was asked whether I was interested in botox. I find it concerning that dentists are offering such treatments, making it even harder for people who need dental treatment to get an appointment to be seen.

I always book myself and my daughter in at the same time, due to unforeseen circumstances they changed my daughters appointment completely, however they forgot to inform me that my time had changed so consequently I was 20 late I apologised but I was cut off and wasn’t allowed to continue, I was told to wait and to see if the dentist could fit me in I apologised on my return to the receptionist but again I was shut down in front of 4 other patient’s They had made the changes to my daughters appointment but didn’t specify that they had brought my appointment forward by 20 minutes I’m disabled and rarely leave the house so to be shut down and made to feel like it was completely my fault , I was left feeling embarrassed, belittled and disappointed in the surgery and I’ve never felt like this in over 20 + years we as a family have been registered there
