I was sent here by my dentist as my wisdom teeth were so close to a nerve they needed to be careful. I'd never had teeth out before so I was nervous. The dentist was friendly I'll give him that but, I was not talked to about what would happen first, I opened my mouth thinking he was just looking and he started very quickly jabbing me with the needle, I had no idea it was coming. He started pulling out the tooth on the side he numbed last! It was not fully numb and it hurt. Even with my obvious noises to let him know it was hurting he did not stop to check it was fully numb. I wasn't told before he did anything. Just chucked in a chair and everything felt rushed. I walked down the stairs shaking. Seems to me you're seen as a nothing when you go in, just another tooth to pull

Was referred here by my own dentist to have a broken tooth extracted so was not expecting it to be pleasant at all, but what made it worse was being told off for closing my eyes through the procedure (I was nervous enough without having to watch them do it). The dentist was so rough. The nurse kept leaning the equipment on my face causing more pain. Then I got up and left crying my eyes out, to which neither the dentist nor the nurse acknowledged at all. I went to reception and the receptionist at least offered me a tissue but offered no other empathy. I had to ask if it was OK to sit in reception while I tried to pull myself together. Worse experience ever and will never return here

My most recent experience was when they adjusted my denture which had become loose over time. The practice is friendly & efficient when it comes to making appointments, sending reminders, emergencies, etc. The dental treatment is very good. The dentist explains the problems, possible solutions, recommends the most appropriate treatment, explains charges & carries out the treatment within a reasonable time.

Having suffered discomfort in a tooth over the weekend, I rang to get an appointment on the Monday and was amazed to get fitted in on the Tuesday at a convenient time! My regular dentist was welcoming, had previewed my notes and was able to tell me which tooth before I had sat in the chair. He then examined it, took X-rays and discussed options with me. He also explained the payment due for the options. I was in and out with second apt booked within 15mins and so impressed. Keep up the good work oak dentist!
