All of my family have dental treatment at Abbey Dental. They have always been easy and efficient to deal with, ensuring appointments are scheduled and reminders sent on time. At times we have needed emergency appointments and they were very accommodating. Care has always been very good, efficient and cost effective. Staff have always been very friendly and personable.

Was running 5 mins late as first time here and difficult to find but called and told them. Upon arrival receptionist said “ dentist will not see your wife as u late and somebody with him now anyway”. Asked if it was patient before or after and was told that don’t make any difference as you Kate. Asked for refund as has to pay £23 even before seeing him and to date still waiting for refund. Dentist may be nice but receptionist’s are so rude so go elsewhere

I visited one of the hygienists here for a regular cleanup and found them to be technically competent - they did a good clean and polish. However there were a couple of things that I didn't like such as having my chin wiped (as opposed to a quick dab) and at one point the hygienist put their hand on my chin to hold my mouth open (would have been fine to just ask me to do this myself). Lastly towards the end of the treatment I was experiencing discomfort and put my hand in the air to get the hygienists attention. They obviously didn't see this as they carried on so I had to manually stop them to let them know I was in discomfort. I didn't feel like this was taken as seriously as I would have expected. Going forward I don't know whether I'll return to the practice to see the other hygienist who I've seen before and was fine, or just go somewhere else altogether. On a more positive note I've always had good experiences with the dentists that I've seen here as well as the reception staff.

Just needed to have bit of filling drilled off as to much put on 4 months ago , and he polished teeth, rushed me in and out, called me liar as he said I cancelled appointment, witch I did not. The polish he only done half of teeth most of them was still brown colour , and my tongue still bleeding trying to get of over filling, and no injection throughout all this.

The Reception team kindly fitted me in at short notice after an longstanding Crown had been dislodged and the Dentist as always was outstanding in the care and treatment carried out. I was most grateful I was able to keep the existing Crown which has always been an excellent fit, and he was able to refit it so expertly. Thank-you

The dentist was able to identify that I needed a new filling, sort out a larger than usual gap in between my teeth and perform a deep clean. I was happy with my treatment and he cleaned my teeth very well. The dentist gave me a running commentary about everything he did and I really appreciated the way he worked.

I paid for my treatment in advance, when u was leaving I was told I had to pay extra because their prices has gone up. Disgraceful. If I was to pay a deposit in another store and the price of an app, would I be expected to pay more??

Unfortunately in between you paying a deposit and having your examination appointment the NHS charges increased, we have no control over this and have to pass on the price increases to patient. Went in for an emergency, the dentist didn’t even x-ray my mouth and put in a filling over my exposed nerve causing me sooo much more pain and distress than what I was originally in then told me to call 111 for a new same day appointment
