i was most impressed with the entire experience of undergoing cataract surgery at Watford. All the staff were most courteous and professional in their care for the patients. Advice given was clear and precise and I have no hesitation in recommending your Watford hospital as an excellent place for cataract surgery.

Well run & efficient. Helpful & friendly staff. Plenty of parking at site so easy drop off & pick up. Both cataracts done, no problems

I would like to thank the receptionist, the surgeon and his team of Spa Medica for the excellent service provided with the various tests when I have had my eye surgery. I would recommend Spa Medica to anyone waiting for eye surgery. Many thanks Maria

Was nervous because of first cataract surgery, but once staff and surgeon spoke to me I felt very calm, especially as the surgeon had an air of confidence and explained the procedure as we went along. The post surgery briefing was very useful. I’m looking forward to doing my other eye now.

I was referred for a Cataract assessment (of my right eye) at SpaMedica by my local Boots Opticians (Princes Risborough). I attended an assessment on 26th Sept 2023 and was given a choice of times for the surgery for the very next day - 27th Sept. I was amazed that it would be done so quickly. The most standout element of my two day experience was the transparency of the processes that would take place during the assessment and surgery. There were large, simple presentations on the walls of the waiting rooms that showed exactly what would happen at each of the 4/5 steps of each process and the time that each process would take. There was minimal waiting time between each process step. All areas of the SpaMedica hospital (from Reception/ Assessment rooms/Operating Theatre) were scrupulously clean. Each step of both assessment and surgery were carried out by very professional operatives with clear communication on what they were doing and what would happen at the next step of the process. For the surgery day I was there for approx 2 hours and the surgery itself took 5 minutes. I had to wear a patch over the eye for 1 day and by day 2 my eyesight was so clear and noticeably even better than my left eye; the left eye, prior to the op on my right eye, always seemed perfect to me and was obviously doing most of the work prior to the op. I have nothing but praise for SpaMedica not only for my successful surgery but also for its ‘door-to-door’ management of the customer service it delivers from the moment you enter the hospital to the moment you leave.

Excellent everyone was friendly I’ve had one eye done another to go. It’s so nice to be able to see without glasses Can’t thank them enough Would definitely recommend this place

I have just had my second eye operated on at SpaMedica Watford. All staff - both administrative and medical - treated me with kindness, respect and with good humour, putting me at ease at all times. The procedure was explained clearly and my questions were addressed readily. I was particularly impressed with the smooth and efficient management of appointments and felt that waiting times were minimal. The vision in my left eye is now near perfect and I can already see and feel an improvement in my right eye operated on just yesterday. I could not have wished for better treatment and would wholeheartedly recommend SpaMedica to anyone having to undergo Cataract treatment. I should add that my dealings with customer service in Bolton has been equally pleasant - always courteous, patient and helpful.

Treated with care and respect by all the Staff and Practitioners. They looked after me all the way through the procedure and although the actual operation is uncomfortable it doesn’t take very long. Everybody works extremely hard but they are always friendly.

A bit nervous at first but once I was checked in, the team made me very relaxed. They were very professional and observed all the clinical checks which boosted my confidence. An excellent experience.
