All staff were friendly,helpfull and well organised. Worked well as a team. Cataract removal was quick and painless and I was well briefed on how to protect my eye indoors and in the garden. Thank you.

The staff are all extremely friendly and efficient, and all steps in the pre-assessment and the actual surgery were fully explained, making me feel comfortable and not at all nervous. However, I feel that more care could be taken during the procedure regarding the irrigation of the eye. The liquid ran into my ear, also around my neck to the back where it soaked my hair and the top of my blouse. While this did not in any way detract from the skill of the surgeon undertaking the operation, it was uncomfortable and could easily be prevented by the judicious use of paper towels. However, I thank you for seeing me so promptly after the pre-assessment visit, couldn't believe it was only 4 days including a weekend!

Fast response after optician visit, initial check within 2 weeks followed by cataract surgery 6 days later. Excellent treatment with no pain or discomfort. Second op similar time period but some discomfort which only lasted overnight. Not only did their Otometrist explain nhs policy over lens supplied but surgeon also checked my understanding before I entered operating theatre. No pressure on me to consider alternative private lenses at any time.

I am not the sort of person who normally writes reviews but in this instance I will. My optician said she could refer me to the local hospital but I could expect to wait up to two years or she could send me a new place near Sittingbourne which opened last year this might be a few monthswait. I must have been very lucky ! from my optician sending in the referral I was seen for my pre-operative eye assessment the next week and had my operation two weeks later. The assessment. No worry. Longest thing is waiting for your eyes to dilate. The whole visit took about 1 ½ hours. Day of surgery. Only waited in reception for a few minutes before being taken to have drops put in my eye. Then another wait for them to dilate, just before 12.00 called into the anaesthetic room. The nurse was so happy and bubbly. She went into the theatre next door to get the surgeon. What a fun chap with a great sense of humour. It was time to go into the theatre. Everyone was happy and joking which put be at ease. The operation was very professional. I was expecting to get wet as said in the booklet but not a drop of water on me. After the operation which only took about 15 minutes I was taken to get my post-operative care instructions and drops before being taken back to reception to wait for my lift home. My thanks to the whole team

Thank you SpaMedica for such a professional service - all your team were so efficient, and above all friendly, and made every effort to put me at ease. Thank you also for the speed in doing this - from eye test to the op in under 2 months was so unexpected. Facilities were great too.

From start to finish, staff and practicioners were very helpful and explained everything in detail. During my procedure i was treated like a person and made to feel at ease, and everything was explained during the 0p. i highly recomend this company .Mr R Balchin

I can't thank the hospital enough for the great service that they provided for my cataract surgery, from the first appointment to the surgery everyone has been friendly, helpful and supportive, and I've had no problems since the op with a fantastic result with my sight

Had left eye cataract operation this month: service was swift, efficient and friendly with procedures fully explained and lady on reception desk went out of her way to ensure that my driver was aware I was ready to leave.
