This was my 2nd cataract surgery. I had a 9 o'clock appointment arriving at 8-50. The whole procedure was so organised that I left at 10 o'clock. The operation itself went well and I'm now well on the way to recovery. I am full of admiration for the whole of the team at Sheffield. Everyone was so kind and helpful and explained everything Well done to you all

I had my 1st cataract done in July this year. The service from spa medica has been amazing and so professional, from my first initial contact over the phone to get booked in to having it done. Thank you all so much for making me feel at ease throughout the process.

I have had cataracts removed from both eyes in the past few weeks. Everyone at SpaMedica was amazing, so helpful, reassuring and caring. Every part of the building was spotlessly clean and very efficient. Would recommend SpaMedica.

The premises are well maintained and immaculately presented, All staff were polite, professional and helpful with one exception. The surgeon who carried out the procedure on my first eye was rude, abrupt almost to the point of being aggressive. Having said that the results on both eyes have been impressive and I am well pleased with the outcome.

My wife's second operation. First was a success. Second today 1st July was very disappointing. The Surgeon was very late in attending the clinic, no update on this by the satff. The Surgeon was very rough and rude with my wife, this is not acceptable. The staff were considerate and professional. Regards

I'd had both eyes operated on and the results and experience were all positive. Unfortunately I was one of the patients whose lens clouded up. After a slick examination I was booked in for a laser blast which was equally slick and one eye is now perfect again. It's the other one next week. Only complaint is that they can't do them both at once. Keep up the great service and good work.

I had cataract operations in March and June 2023 and can wholeheartedly endorse all the favourable comments in the previous 5 Star reviews. After the first operation I still had some inflamation after two weeks of drops but I was promptly seen and prescribed further drops which were soon effective. The only recommendation I would make is to suggest more optometrists are needed for the review visits. Patients are quickly passed through the pre-assessment stages but then have to wait a long time to be seen by one of the two optometrists. Otherwise the whole experience and the effectiveness of the treatment were excellent.

I had two cataract operations in 6 weeka at Spamedica at Chapeltown. The two operations could not have been more different. The first time everything went brilliantly, the surgery was performed painlessly, speedily and successfully. Throughout the procedure I felt confident that I was in highly skilled hands. The second operation was a very unpleasant experience. I am being generous when describing the surgeon's manner as being extremely brusque and abrasive verging on antagonistic with no feeling of empathy. The procedure was painful at times and after a few minutes I began to feel very vulnerable. If this had been my first experience I doubt if I would have returned for a second time. For both operations the pre and post operation staff were friendly and helpful.
