My experience of having two cataract operations here was one of efficiency, speed and care. Both appointments came very quickly. The staff took me through the process explaining what was going to happen at each stage. The only place where I didn't fully know what was happening was in the operating theatre and it might have been nice to know what was happening during the operation. I'm sure not everyone wants to know but it would have pleased me.

Everything was so well organised, clinic itself was spotlessly clean from entering the building to leaving everyone gave you their best attention. Highly recommended

The service is very efficient and the nurses and drs and surgeons are very kind, helpful and sympathetic. Altogether a lovely, clean and efficient hospital.

Sadly I did not have a good experience. Staff were very kind but extremely busy. Had to wait a very long time for surgery and return the next day due to a problem. Waited all day to be treated and was last patient. Surgeon was irritable and I felt he dealt roughly with an already painful eye.

From start to finish my experience with Spa Medica has been excellent. From the friendly receptionists who check you in , the nurses who prepare you for surgery the surgeon and the aftercare nurse everyone makes you feel as relaxed as possible . The operation itself was as stress free as it could have been with no pain or discomfort. The aftercare nurse explained how to use the eye drops and gave me a bag containing all the medication and information I needed. I expected some discomfort after the anaesthetic wore off but a paracetamol sorted that very quickly. The day after the operation was amazing, no pain, no blurred vision or grittiness just clear perfect vision. Amazing. I can’t thank you enough!

Very impressed with the professionalism of all staff, comfy relaxing environment (including free tea/coffee and biscuits) and appointment timescales. Would highly recommend as a treatment centre.

I just don't know how to put into words how wonderfully kind &caring you all have been,from being picked up at home to getting back home had 2 cataracts done that were both complex surgery. The brilliant surgeon & everyone one of you are lovely people & put people at ease. It is wonderful after wearing glasses fornearly 45 years to be able to see so much without them.Just had my final appointment today 13th November. Many many thanks to you all Chris

I had both operations at Sheffield and check-ups at Wakefield Spamedica, I found all the staff very Professional at both clinic's and friendly it made you feel relaxed.

Just wanted to say a Big Thank You to the brilliant surgeon and all the staff for the wonderful care and kindness I received when I had complex surgery for my cataract on 10th July.
