I can’t thank all the staff enough from waking in to reception all the way through to the surgeon I was really looked after. It’s been 3 days since my surgery on my left eye and I’m amazed at the difference it’s made for me and I’ve not even felt any discomfort whatsoever I was out walking my dogs on day two without any issues whatsoever. Thank you SpaMedica

All staff extremely efficient and the whole procedure ran like clockwork. However I would recommend the use of a moveable step to be placed by the operating bed or a similar device to enable elderly or disabled patients to manoeuver into the correct position more comfortably. Given this adaptation, the whole experience, not to mention its outcome, would be brilliant.

I just don't know how to put into words how wonderfully kind and caring you all have been from being picked up at home to getting back home again. I have now had 2 cataracts done and both were complex surgery. The brilliant surgeon and every one of you are lovely people and put me at my ease. It is wonderful after wearing glasses for nearly 45 years to be able to see so well without them. I have just had my final appointment today and been discharged. Many thanks to you all.

From the greeting at the door, chat with the surgeon and after care guidance I can’t give enough praise to each and every staff member I had contact with. They made me feel at ease through each stage of the consultation, the procedure and the system seemed very slick and professional which was very comforting. I’m so happy I was referred here rather than a hospital and would happily recommend it to anyone who is feeling anxious about making the decision.

I was very impressed with the service and the friendly staff ,also the speed from Vision Express referring me to my treatment , would without doubt recommend you to anyone requiring cataract treatment.

From premed to post surgery the whole experience was far better than I expected. The staff were all so friendly and did their utmost to set me at ease It was far quicker than I expected. I was last on the list and was back home within 2 hours Minimal discomfort and can’t wait to have my other eye done here. Thank all at Spamedica sheffield

I had my right eye done in September which was a very easy and no problems later. My left eye was not as comfortable in the procedure. I don’t know whether the Consultant was not as careful or whether my cataract was less accessible but my left eye has taken longer to feel more comfortable but a brilliant job has been done. I thank all the wonderful caring staff who treated me so efficiently and caring

I had both eyes treated for cataracts, left in July, right in November 2023. The whole treatment was excellent, courteous, considerate and supportive throughout. The speed of recovery was remarkable, the outcome beyond my expectations. A previously planned holiday delayed the first operation but Spamedica were very prompt in dealing with the July operation on my return. It was so good to take a text message about the first date as soon as our ferry was within reach of the local mobile network! There was an unexpected hold up (nothing to do with Spamedica) between the operations but in due course everything went ahead as planned on a changed schedule. To be told shortly after the right eye treatment I was quite likely to have 20/20 vision and only need reading glasses was great news. *I found the bottle containing the drops was made from quite a stiff plastic. Something softer would have been easier to use. *The information booklet was clear and the diary / log was most helpful. *It was a huge relief to remove the shield from my eye and find that I could see better than expected, the muzzy view through the shield had been slightly off-putting. A big thanks, well done Spamedica and my optician.
