Everything from start to finish was of the highest standard. Nothing was left uncovered, everything very professional. All the staff were attentive, polite and kind and the experience made me feel completely confident throughout. The surgeon was excellent and he talked me through the whole procedure. Thank you SpaMedica.

Pre and post operative staff did all they could to help me feel less anxious. Once dilating capsule in situ,waiting for eye to dilate,in a small partitioned area,is an anxious time. No phone or book to pass the time,as everything put away in locker! Theatre staff need to be more communicative. Both eyes completely covered,so no reassuring face can be seen. Maybe a hold of a hand or a pat on the arm plus some reassuring words,would be appreciated!! Otherwise,everything good!!!!

I attended on 31/5 for a review of my operation on my right eye having previously had the operation on my left eye. From start to finish I have nothing but praise for the way in which I was treated by nursing staff, ancillary optical staff and surgeons. Everyone was kind and friendly including the porters. I have to say that before the first eye was operated on I was quite nervous , but I was put at ease immediately. The follow up examinations were thorough and problem free. My wife had cataracts removed 3 years ago and this facility was not available then so we paid privately for the operations, but the after care was non existent compared with SpaMedica. Well done everyone.

This was my second visit for a procedure at Spamedica and again I was impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. In particular I was so impressed with my surgeon and I would especially like to thank him for encouraging me not to struggle during the procedure. Absolutely wonderful!

What a wonderful clinic. Beautifully clean and the staff really look after you. The surgeon was kind and put me at ease. Only in the actual theatre for 10 mins. Instructions for the after care was excellent.

From start to finish I cannot fault the excellent service. Everything from transport to and from the hospital and on arrival everything was clearly explained. Operation was quick and aftercare was explained.

From arrival at the clinic for my operation I couldn’t have been treated more kindly. Due to my apprehension my daughter was allowed to stay with me, apart from whilst I was having the cataract operation. Everything was explained clearly and all staff were very kindly.

I have attended twice and each time I have been so impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail and clear explanation of procedures that I was going to have, both on the pre assessment day and the cataract surgery that was performed on April 13th 2024. As a retired health professional I am very aware on the importance of how patients would like to be treated and for them to experience well trained staff who have the understanding and the expertise to care for them at all levels. Well done Susan Willgress
