When arriving greated by friendly member of staff who directed me where to go to check in. Staff there also professional and helpful. At each stage of pre operation process again professional and explained what was being preformed. The surgeon also gave a clear explanation of the procedure and what to expect. Post operation the nurse was very good going over what to expect and what to do before giving me a very welcomed drink and biscuit.

I was extremely worried about this operation/procedure. However the care, attention to detail and reassurance plus the successful outcome was excellent. Also the short waiting time and very good communication was much appreciated.

The staff are lovely, and helpful from the time you enter the building, to the time you leave, which helps calm the nerves.

Second eye procedure, excellent again, very professional staff, you are put at ease the moment you step through the door. I would definitely recommend this facility to everyone, if you get the opportunity try it you won't be disappointed, thank you SpaMedica.

Everyone very friendly & put me at ease when I was nervous about the procedure. Wouldn't hesitate to have the second eye done now. Would definitely highly recommend the clinic

Whilst on the operating table I heard the surgeon ask if the pellet was out.? I thought what pellet. She then said I’ve had a good look around and can’t see anything. On returning home after a couple of days I noticed a lump in my eyelid which I thought was due to the op but then when it moved around I realised it must the pellet they were talking about. I phoned the clinic and went to have it removed after a week of it being in my eye. I was told oh they usually fall out on their own - not once was a pellet mentioned any time until I was on the operating table. I’ve not received an apology from anybody having to put two drops in 4 times a day for 8 weeks which meant I had to miss the appointment for my other eye. On my second eye there was different staff who were absolutely professional and told me that there would be a pellet in my eye although I refused it. The nurse who I saw on my next op followed all the protocol and was very kind and helpful. Also before going into theatre the nurse asked to check my eye to make sure the pellet was out although I didn’t have one in - none of that happened on my first op!!!! Hopefully the staff from the first op are no longer there as they did not follow the guidelines

I had my second procedure yesterday. What nice people, made me feel at ease on all visits. The receptionist was first person and he was also very reassuring. When you think about it at first it is quite daunting but I would recommend it.

I attended for cataract surgery yesterday. The whole experience from reception to surgery was fantastic. I felt informed the staff were lovely . The nurses were very calming and helped me feel at ease. The surgeon reassured me and explained everything I needed to know. The whole surgery was done smoothly and very quickly. Thanks go to all staff at Spa Medica Poole.
