In April and June, 2023, I had both cataracts replaced by SpaMedica, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead. At each stage of the process I was very well cared for with kindness and pleasant chat, which made me feel like a valued customer even though I was referred by the NHS. I left feeling happy. The building is spotlessly clean with sanitisers around every corner which everyone used, including the staff. The outcome has been marvellous. I will recommend anyone to accept treatment by this hospital.

Everything was really well organised and the staff were all lovely. Access was great to the premises and parking facilities admirable. The waiting times were amazing I only had one week to wait after the pre-assessment

Everyone at Spa Medica has been so kind, professional and helpful. I've just had my second cataract removal. The waiting times for both procedures were minimal. From start to finish I was treated so well by friendly, patient people who work hard to help you relax. I am so very grateful to all of them. I would very happily recommend Spa Medica. With my new eyes the world is so colourful, it's like I was viewing everything through the bottom of a dirty glass before! Thank you everyone at Spa Medica. Best wishes to you all you're brilliant. The staff are pleasant and professional, procedure is easy and painless,,, I arrived one hour early because of public transport schedules, but even then my total time at the clinic was one hour six minutes,,,, excellent!

I'd been so worried for a long time about the prospect of a cataract operation....but, in hindsight, any qualms were unfounded entirely. The complete process from pre-op to the operation day itself was so well organised, professional, considerate, respectful and caring. My post-op follow up will be mid-July...something I can actually look forward to! Heartfelt thanks to the whole team at Gateshead.

On 22 June I had cataracts removed from my left eye. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive before the surgery. I needn’t have been. The care and treatment I received before and during the procedure was first class. Everything was well explained. I can now look forward to having cataracts removed from my right eye without fear. Thank you to all of the team at SpaMedic Gateshead.

Everyone at the practice was very caring and attentive. I had two cataracts removed in five and a half weeks. Couldn't ask for better service

I was Well looked after from the moment I walked though the door. Everything was carefully explained as I progressed from room to room. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful . I was nervous ,but they soon put me at ease. I was able to speak to the surgeon before I went in for my surgery and able to ask any remaining questions that I had. The procedure went well and was completely painless. The outcome was even better than I hoped or expected. Thank you so much.

I had my first cataract removed in June, and my second in late August. The whole process was very professional, and I was guided every step of the way, the staff were very friendly and the difference was phenomenal. I wish I had been able to have it done sooner.
