I much preferred the first time i went for my right eye things went smoothly and the staff took there time making sure that my eye was ready for surgery, but this time i felt that i was being rushed through and i actually felt pain while i was having the surgery done, but having said that it is a lovely place.

I was seen by several people for an assessment, each with their own speciality. The system is efficient, the environment spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone friendly and helpful. My problem was explained clearly and I was guided to the right decision. I live 60 miles away. Minibus transport provided was excellent. Thanks to all involved.

Myself and 3 other ladies and the husband of one of them all from Berwick upon Tweed were taken, courtesy of your transport, to your Gateshead hospital and we all agree that from being picked up by a lovely helpful driver to being assessed for cataract surgery then bring driven home, we had caring and helpful treatment by your wonderful staff. We all now can't wait to get our phone calls telling us the date of our surgery. Thank you SpaMedica.

A little apprehensive about my first cataract surgery, the care and service provided soon put me at ease. Surgery was amazing and absolutely nothing to be concerned about. All staff I came into contact with were brilliant, explaining everything as I progressed through the various stages. I’m actually looking forward to my second surgery later in the year. A lovely friendly & helpful staff who all put you at your ease from minute you step inside the building. Every step of your journey from reception to being escorted back to waiting room by discharge nurse is explained & any questions answered. Operation itself went without incident & whole thing over in what seemed like no time at all. I was very nervous before my first op but was calmed by all staff who ensured my well-being. Second one went just as smoothly as first & I had no qualms this second time.

Staff were excellent. Very polite and clear to understand. Very helpful. Cups of coffee were available and could be made for me if I wished. Free. Felt very comfortable in the operating area and felt at ease during my procedure. Whole clinic was spotless.

I was very pleased with the quickness I received my pre-assessment and operation appointments. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Everything ran smoothly, everything was explained at each step of the procedure. I cannot get over how quick the operation was and pain free. Thank you to all the staff.
