The visit was seamless arrived 08:30 promptly and courteously shown to the waiting area. I was professionally dealt with and back home at 10:30. Why can’t all NHS procedures be like this

I was having problems focusing with my left eye so went for an eye test when a cataract was diagnosed. 18 days later I had my pre-op assessment and the following week had my surgery at Spa Medica Doncaster. I was very surprised at having this completed within such a short space of time and the very friendly, attentive staff made the whole experience a pleasure. Everyone who works there have a great attitude to patient care and are very knowledgeable about the services they provide, explaining everything as the process went along. I am very grateful to them all.

I attended my pre op assessment and two days later had my cataract operation All the staff were friendly and informative explained stages of treatment and communication was excellent All staff introduced themselves All departments I occupied were very clean I found all the booklets which I were given were very informative Thankyou to all staff

All the staff were kind and caring and explained the procedure even though I had my other eye operated on 7 weeks ago. The actual operation itself was a different matter,. The experience was completely different to last time. A lot of pressure was used which has left me feeling as though I have been in a fight. My head was quite forcibly moved a few times (I presume to put it in a better position for working on the eye) and I could sense the old lens being scraped out. At no time was I told what was happening during the operation. On the whole a very bad experience completely the opposite of the first operation. If that had been the first operation I would be very reluctant to have a second eye done.

From entering the car park service was fantastic. Receptionist bringing out an umbrella to see me in. The whole procedure and staff were very efficient and friendly, everything explained all the way along. Would recommend 100%.

Staff were welcoming and helpful, explaining clearly the procedures. Operation was swift and painless, this place runs like clockwork. I had every confidence in staff and their care. Tea and coffee was offered and their attitude was very caring. Place is spotless- what a great facility.

I recently had my cataract surgery at SpaMedica Doncaster. I found this to be a very positive and professional service from start to finish. Although all the staff were brilliant, due to unavoidable delays on the day of my surgery I found the reception staff on duty that day particularly helpful and reassuring.
