From the gentleman at meet & greet to my surgeon and the staff in between the service was excellent The staff were cheerful and put me at ease could not fault the process. Well done all

All staff were attentive to patient need . Everthing ran smoothly on all my visits for the past two months. Every endeavor was made to meet patients care needs even the less able, good building facilities all on the flat , clean & tidy with a little time to watch the TV provided on the wall and have a cuppa/water etc. Medical care very thorough.

The staff treated you as if you are the most important patient. Very professional but friendly and made you feel at ease. This was my second time at Spa Medica and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I was very nervous, the thought of someone operating on your eyes is not pleasant. I have to say I don't know what I was worried about, Everyone was so lovely and welcoming and put you at ease. The surgery was painless except I just had a tiny sting and was told they were inserting my lense. Fifteen minutes later I was in the waiting room where I waited to be discharged. The nurse there was so lovely explained about the drops and what to do next and told me I was free to go. The rest of the day I did find my eye a bit uncomfortable and it watered quite a lot which is explained in the booklet you are given. After a good night's sleep I was fantastic, no pain, a bit cloudy, which gets better every day. So if your reading this, don't be scared, these people who look after you are amazing and I have no fear when I go back to have my other eye done. Thank you SpaMedica!! 😊

I had my first cataract eye surgery and I am very happy with the service provided. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and very experienced dealing with patients ie explaining the whole procedure. Surgeon was very good and experienced and aftercare was very simple and effective. Would highly recommend spamedica to all.

I attended SpaMedica in Coventry on 14th August for eye surgery to remove a cataract from my right eye. Having had a pre-op appointment I was aware that the procedure would be quick and pain free but on the morning of the operation I was still very apprehensive and a little scared, This apprehension however was unfounded as the service I received was first class with a warm welcome and no waiting time at all. The necessary details were taken and the required eye drops applied and after a short wait for the eye drops to work the operation took place. I experienced slight discomfort during the procedure but absolutely no pain. The post operation after care was given, including what, if any, side effects I may experience and I was sent home with the eye drops I would need to speed up my recovery. This whole process lasted approximately 1.5 hours and yes I have experienced some side effects but only what had been explained to me and my eye sight in my right eye is what can only be described as fantastic. If you need this procedure do not be apprehensive as I was. The team at SpaMedica are excellent and provide a 10 star service. If and when my left eye needs a cataract removed I shall not hesitate, in the slightest, to return to SpaMedica for their professional and first class service.

The service was excellent. All parts of the procedure was clearly explained. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The location is clean and comfortable. Aftercare was excellent.

Despite a big IT problem delaying proceedings,staff interacted cheerfully with patients. The patients I saw throughout the day, were extremely understanding and calm. This helps everyone. Facilities are superb. All staff appear to be valued. Patients are spoken to politely. Well-rehearsed questions were, on a few occasions, asked too quickly and I needed to hear them again. I have good hearing. In the 'Stable-style' waiting room with individual chairs in bays, the quite fierce air-conditioning seemed to target the sitter. Although patients are advised to wear warm clothes, this area appeared noticeably colder than elsewhere which is why i draw attention to it. It was commented on by a number of other people in that room with me. (We were possibly there for a longer time than usual because of the delay to the days' programme.) In the theatre I was not expecting a substantial blue covering (from behind my head) to suddenly flop onto my face and be pressed against my skin. It was an alarming experience, as was the tearing back of one of its layers and the appearance of the points of a pair scissors coming towards my eye. Could my experience have been less traumatic? Yes, i believe so. Had I been warned that those things were about to happen, it would have removed the 'shock' value. I clearly wouldn't expect a conversation or running commentary from a medical team but avoiding additional stress to a lying-down patient, already experiencing a new situation, is something I would encourage..

Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. It was a great surgeon did a wonderful job. Thank you.The place was extremely clean but a little bit chilly so wrap up warm. Can’t wait to go back and have the other one done.
