The overall experience was positive. The only criticism I would have is the welcome for my elderly father prior to operation. I need to stress compassion, patience, explanation and welcoming a relative to accompany the patient until the moment they go into theatre. I didn’t feel welcome at times and my father was very anxious and gets mixed up at times. He wanted me with him. So important for him. I appreciate staff are busy but this needs addressing.

I was very apprehensive as I have never had eye surgery before. However I was looked after very well by the Clinic Staff, and my fears were quickly dispelled. I felt only a mild discomfort, and no pain, and the surgery was over very quickly and was virtually stress free too. I need the same procedure on my other eye, but am not in the least bit worried about this, and look forward to getting it over so that I hopefully, may look forward to better eyesight in the future. Thank you, New Medica, Doctors and Clinic Staff.

I was very impressed by the professional approach of the entire process. There was very little waiting time, the staff were all polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The procedure was painless and by the following morning, my eyesight was restored to the level I enjoyed when I first had artificial corrective lenses inserted. I am very grateful for the service I received and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of a similar corrective procedure.

I would like to thank all Newmedica staff for the most excellent manner in which I was received and treated at my reacent visit for a Cataract removal. The manner in which every thing included during the operation was excellently explained and I was made fully aware of what all parts of the operation. Once more I thank everyone concerned in very excellent I was received and put at my ease. No problems at all.

The building is clean and light, with its own car park. The staff couldn’t be more friendly, putting you at ease, introducing themselves and informing you of the procedure they are about to embark on. From my experience I couldn’t recommend this practice highly enough. 5*

My Dad came in for cataract surgery, cannot recommend highly enough. It was dealt with so quickly as he had cataracts on both eyes and had a serious fall, he is 90.

I was unable to have cataract surgery due to a thin cornea. The risk was too severe to continue. The surgeon gave me a short examination. Then he gave me my options of having surgery to replace the the right cornea with a cataract replacement. This will be done at a later date on referral. All in all, a bit of a disappointment. But, excellent advice from the surgeon. Thank you Newmedica.
