Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie - Posted on 12 October 2024
I popped into this pharmacy today ,a very pleasant reception and the pharmacist saw me and helped me with a rash that turned out to be shingles . I found the pharmacist very professional and pleasant and would recommend going there to others . I send my thanks and appreciation for the care given very professional .

Review titled Always difficulty with getting repeat prescription
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2023
I’ve previously found this pharmacy helpful, however over the past year I’ve never been able to collect my repeat prescription on time, therefore going without my medication. They told me once I’d be fine without my meds for 10 days !!! This causes me considerable anxiety. It’s a busy place & probably understaffed, however they were instrumental in having another dispensary closed locally……. I questioned why this is happening repeatedly to my prescription & was finally advised to action requesting my own repeat prescription by using the NHS app. Previously I’ve always been told by this pharmacist that the issue was with my doctors surgery……… however having made additional enquiries myself I’ve found this not to be true. I’ve heard others waiting here expressing concerns too about these difficulties…….. I’d hoped things would improve…… but no. I’m now sadly going to choose to collect my medication elsewhere as I honestly can’t cope with this level of confrontation every 2 months. I believe my review is more than reasonable & I hope it helps both this business & their customers

Review titled Going the extract mile.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Cliff Marchant - Posted on 09 June 2023
I have used this pharmacy for more years that I care to remember and have always found the pharmacist and the team to be kind, caring and very professional. I used to collect medication from the pharmacy but in recent years, due to health issues, I now have my wife's and my medication delivered, a service I have always found excellent provided by a kind and friendly person who always greets you with a smile when you answer the door. An instant of this was recently when my daughter, on my behalf, contracted my GP because I was not feeling that great. The GP issued a prescription and sent it electronically to the pharmacy, where it was processed, and delivered to my door, along with other, already requested, medication. The whole process, from start to finish, being completed in around 2 hours. For this I would like to say a massive thank you to the pharmacist and the team for providing such an excellent service and for going the extra mile and pulling out all the stops. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

Review titled Improvement
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Ian Barraclough - Posted on 20 April 2023
I had posted an unfavourable review previously based on what I considered to be a rude and an unnecessary negative attitude to service. Since then I have seen a big improvement when visiting where I am acknowledged by name quickly when renewing a repeat prescription. Whether this turn around is a result of acknowledging feedback (be it favourable or not) I am not sure, but in fairness it is proper to call out good aspects of the pharmacy as well as bad when they happen.

Review titled confrontational staff
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Ian Barraclough - Posted on 24 February 2023
A mixed picture. Have experienced decent service depending on who is serving. Latest experience was negative. Gave advance notice of a repeat prescription, member of staff was rude and hectoring. Was told that providing repeat prescriptions was 'doing me a favour' and I really should be going to the GP, even though collection at the pharmacy was arranged through my local surgery. Was told I was one of a number of St. Leonards residents who needed 'educating' in what the role of a pharmacist is, ie. not as an offloading of responsibilty for my GP. I felt i was under sufferance for requesting medicine. I am persistent so was not deterred, but more vulnerable customers could find encounters upsetting. Noted are several other negative reviews so it appears not to be an isolated incident.
