after using tesco pharmacy for a number of years I have decided to change pharmacy. the customer service today was appalling, I was spoken to from a distance, no smile or "happy to help", I was first given a prescription which was no longer required which was snatched from me when I informed her I no longer required. I was informed the item I did require was not available as the prescription is returned to the GP surgery after 6 weeks as they do not have facility to store? I find this really difficult to understand, I work in a dispensing Dr's surgery and I'm a dispenser and we keep our items for longer than this unless it's a cd which is removed from our shelf if not collected after 28 days as per protocol, but to return after 6 weeks is a considerable wasted amount of time for GPS. I find this totally unacceptable and bizarre. After a further discussion with the pharmacist, the item was located but I was informed to collect it much sooner next time and not leave it as long!! I was using up medication I had at home to avoid waste as my dose had been increased. I found the pharmacist and the pharmacy assistant very rude today, not helpful and also being in a store where many people were passing by there was no confidentiality regs my enquiry. they both shouted from a distance, only coming to the counter to give me the medication and take my payment. myself and my family will no longer use Tesco, numerous mistakes have been made previously. tesco need to look at their staff customer care!

Being organised I order my medication electronically and had confirmed that it was received by the pharmacy 4 days before I ran out. I hadn’t received a call or text to say there was an issue. I went in on the Saturday as that was 2 days overdue by their own standard/service agreement. They said “could I come back Monday?” Absolutely not, so could I come back in 30 minutes. So they’ve had the prescription for 5 days and either left it-even after I checked with them on day 2, or something was wrong and they didn’t bother letting me know. Moving pharmacy to a smaller place that’s not a corporate run.
