  1. Review titled Incompetent and Lacking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 September 2024

On the 2nd September my doctors surgery electronically sent a prescription to Morrisons Pharmacy Scarborough. This was an acute medication and on their own display it says they'd be made within 1 hour of it been sent. Recently they haven't upheld that so I purposely waited until the following day. Around 1pm 22 hours after it was sent down. Was told to come back after 5pm as it still hadn't been done. 5pm comes and the main item on the prescription was not available. They didn't allow for the whole script to be placed on the spine as they made you 1 product so in their eyes they'd accepted and made it, saying they don't have stock, I rang another pharmacy who has the item available, and then had to contact my doctors to get another prescription sent which can take up to 5 days. Which means I'm going to have to suffer in pain due to them not allowing my prescription to go on the spine because they had 1/2 items available. This isn't the first time I have these issues with this pharmacy since the beginning of this year. It's majorly going down hill. And dangerously.

  2. Review titled Really helpful and kind staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently changed pharmacy following continued issues with the pharmacist local to me and thier attitude. My husband recently died and I just didn't have the resilience to deal with the abrupt attitude and difficult lead chemist. Morrisons pharmacy is so much better, the staff genuinely care. They are patient, they want your medication/prescription with you promptly and they explain why issues may occur. This means travelling as someone with a mobility issue but I would rather take that extra discomfort physically and know I'm taken care of by the staff. Really would recommend to my family and friends.

  3. Review titled Shocking Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by EWarrener - Posted on 29 June 2024

I’ve been using this pharmacy for around 8 months. At first it was OK but over the last 4 months it takes 4 days+ to turn around my 5-item prescription from receipt from my doctor. I today29/06/2024 at 14:30 called to chase and explained I have in total waited 6 days (2 days for the doctor to prepare and send it and now in the 4 days with no update from Kingsway and being without my blood pressure medication which has a detrimental effect on my health. I was informed they are short staffed and that "I could find another pharmacy". Clearly run on a purse string with no customer focus. Staff are rude and unprofessional. Just not good enough!

  4. Review titled Uneducated staff left my daughter with a perforated ear drum

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rache - Posted on 09 April 2024

I was referred to the pharmacy by my GP for my daughter's blocked ears. The pharmacist told me that she was not good at checking ears as she had not been trained properly. She told me my daughter's ears were fine and that she had a sore throat. That night my daughter's ear perforated. I saw the GP the next day who confirmed both my daughter's ears were badly infected. I picked up the antibiotics today from Morrisons and let them know that staff need to be trained properly. The staff member treated me like I was lying and was incredibly rude. The pharmacist apologised, but the other staff members behaviour was terrible. I was made to feel like I was overreacting.

  5. Review titled Unprofessional, rude and ignorant staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

Morrison's Pharmacy at Riversway in Preston has deteriorated in the past year. Whenever I have been to the pharmacy, I am waiting at least 10 minutes in a queue. You are stood there waiting whilst three or more staff are milling around in the back - never a 'I won't be a second' to diffuse any potential situations. Prescriptions are never ready when you go and you are asked to go and do some shopping and then have to wait another 10 minutes again in the queue. This weekend has been the worst experience and has prompted this review! I ordered my son's epileptic medication on Tuesday and went to collect it on Friday (again waiting in a long queue) to be to told it would not be ready for 30 minutes and I should do some shopping. After my shopping and again queuing, I was told the prescription was still not ready and to come back the next day! I went back today (Saturday) and waiting 20 minutes in the queue, was told it was still not ready and if I wanted to stay and wait, it would be 1 hour! My son's medication runs out tomorrow (Sunday) In the end, I demanded the prescription back and I was walking out of the pharmacy and a number of people all said the same thing - that it happens to them all the time. This has happened to me on a few occasions now. I took my prescription to another pharmacy and had it made up within 5 minutes. I have come home and changed my pharmacy for myself, both my children and urged other family members to do the same. The staff are rude, ignorant and unprofessional. Something needs to be done before they lose all custom. I just feel sorry for the people who depend on getting prescriptions on time and are being let down and really struggle to get it sorted.

  7. Review titled Preston Morrisons Pharmacy

Rated 1 star out of 5

Both myself and my husband have had problems with this pharmacy. Very slow in getting medication ready. Staff never answer phone and when we visit they never have meds ready even when we have given them 2/3 days to sort it! No urgency whatsoever! Wont be using them anymore. Noticed staff tend to chat to each other while the queue gets longer and longer. Really bad customer service!

Terrible service. We were advised by 111 to take our 19 month old daughter to see the Pharmacist for some advice because she hasn't been very well. The Pharmacist on duty refused service and told my partner that our daughter was too young to be seen.

  9. Review titled Refused to sell me medication

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2024

I was refused night nurse I have all the symptoms on the box but would not give it to me I then had to go to another chemist and purchased this no problem. This was very distressful as I was feeling so rough there is no reason for this kind of treatment. This needs looking into as there are so many complaints

  10. Review titled Morrisons pharmacy Stewatfield East Kilbride

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 January 2024

Visited this pharmacy on Sunday due to an infected finger. Finger had been cut and healed but started to swell again. Read this pharmacist could prescribe antibiotic. Young lad who served me listened to my issue and then went to pharmacist to discuss. I watched him advise of my issue. She never looked my way, however chap returned to tell me call my GP next day. Called my GP but too busy to take me. Visited another pharmacy in town and without question prescribed me with suitable antibiotics for 5 days. So much for Stewartfield NHS pharmacy first!
