    Having used this branch's prescription delivery service for c.15 years, I have, reluctantly, today registered with another pharmacy chain. A prescription received by this pharmacy on 20 August was undelivered by today, 30th, and my phone enquiry was handled with indifference and without apology or courtesy. The pharmacy's driver, an excellent person for whom I have the greatest respect, has been off sick for two weeks, I was told, so no delivery service was available. When I asked why customers were not advised, I was told they couldn't phone everyone (that they were letting down) or they wouldn't get anything else done. They have had great difficulty in maintaining a reliable delivery service for around two years, and I have been aware of their staff problems, prompting me to email Day Lewis head office in autumn 2023, largely on their behalf. In that email I acknowledged the local staff's difficulties and suggested it was a company issue that needed urgent attention. I received neither acknowledgement nor reply. As stated, I have the highest regard for the regular driver, who I know has suffered health problems in the recent past. I also have some sympathy for the branch staff's situation but I can no longer tolerate their indifferent, unhelpful responses when I phone to enquire about my undelivered medication. They are claiming to offer a delivery service and failing repeatedly, and today I have again walked the 3.5 mile round trip to collect my medication. This was the last straw, after I have given Day Lewis too many chances.

    We went to Day Lewis Pharmacy to collect an prescription which is imperative to use daily. The door was open, the pharmacist was there and confirmed the stock was available. She said she could not dispense it then ...why not?(1.30pm) and to return later. My husband was feeling unwell so we returned home and tried all afternoon to call to say we would return today. The phone either rang or there was a message saying the pharmacist was too busy to take the call. There was no option to leave a message. I drove back this morning to find you are closed on a Saturday morning. So now we have no medication until Tuesday and the prescription was kept by the pharmacist so we can't go elsewhere. Do you want people to use your Pharmacy? Reviews constantly mention lack of customer service.
