Review titled Disorganised chaos
Rated 1 star out of 5

Covid vaccination booked for 11.25 am. Husband was called in for his at 11.20 am, then pharmacist dashed out of consultation room leaving me still waiting. Then Pharmacist returned to consultation room for a few minutes and then disappeared again. I was sitting waiting wondering what was going on so my husband went to desk and could see pharmacist madly packing up prescriptions, there was a long queue at desk. I then went to speak to receptionist who told me I would be seen in a few minutes. By 11.40 am pharmacist returned and administered the Covid injection. I asked if there was a problem and his answer was they were very busy. My point is, why put yourself forward to provide a service with Covid injections if you are having to multitask. Not very professional, does not give one confidence that he knew what he was doing. We got reminder emails before Covid appointments and turned up on time but they did not fulfill their part of the bargain. I am disgusted.

Dear Ms Giddings Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you have had a negative experience at one of our branches. My name is Claude Pereira and I am one of the Pharmacists responsible for investigating patient complaints. Following your review, I got in touch with the branch to find out what happened. At the time of your attendance, it was extremely busy in the Pharmacy and it was unfortunate that you had to wait a total of 15 minutes from your designated appointment time. As Pharmacists, we constantly have to multitask as the Pharmacist has to balance prescription queries as well as prescriptions coming into the pharmacy. As such there was a little wait to get your vaccination and all we can request for is patience as we get round to delivering your vaccine. We have been providing Covid vaccinations at the branch in which you attended for 2 seasons now and have delivered over 4500 vaccinations to the locality as many patients have found it easier and more convenient to get their vaccination at their local Community Pharmacy. Additionally, we have never had a complaint about the Pharmacist or Covid Vaccination service that has been delivered. I do however understand that a 15-minute wait may have inconvenienced you and I sincerely apologise for this. In the future should you require another Covid vaccination, you are free to go to a dedicated Covid vaccination centre of your choosing which may address your requirements to your satisfaction Yours Sincerely Mr Claude Pereira
