Review titled Utterly rude!!!!!!
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Peter Snaith - Posted on 27 October 2024
I wouldn’t touch Asda pharmacy with a barge pole!! My gp recommended me here due to them being to busy to see me. The “pharmacist” at Asda called me and started trying to tell me I had nothing wrong with me, then insisted that “you don’t have tonsillitis, I can’t help you” 2 days later and 111 have referred me to qa, to find it I have indeed got tonsillitis and this could have been sorted a lot sooner if the “pharmacist” could have been bother to see me. The guy here is an utter disgrace. Just wanted to tick me off the list without even seeing me to make his numbers look good. If you have anything wrong at all please don’t ever think to go here as this guy is as good as a chocolate teapot!!! I’m not sat at home in agony, with tonsolitis which is a hell of a lot worse than it should have been. How this pharmacist is “qualified” I’ll never know. Utter waste of time.

Been to get my child’s prescription to be told they don’t have it in will order and will be in the next day go back two days later and it’s not there but they’ve not reordered it themselves so we have to wait again to get it, then they say well we don’t know if it will come in or not, waiting over a week for a cream to help a 2 year old is ridiculous as it’s deteriorating. Can’t take it elsewhere as they’ve given part of the prescription and ordered without checking if we want to go elsewhere. Staff are rude on number of occasions and the waiting times are ridiculous especially when you don’t need to do shopping which they tend to rely on.

40 min wait to be told it won’t be ready today. It should have been ready 5 days ago. In 40 minutes not one name was called of the 9 people waiting. Obviously too many patients, an extremely broken “ system “. Staff must dread working there. Never using Hunts Cross again.

Review titled Always waiting
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Dorothy manning - Posted on 28 March 2024
I wish to complain about the pharmacy in the asda in ellesmere port. It seems eventide I go in my prescriptions are never ready and I have to wait 20 minutes to half an hour even though the prescription has been in there for over 7 days. It dies say that it may take 72 hours from receiving the prescription which is why I always give more than 4 days before collection. On Tuesday 26th March I went in to collect the my medication for which they would have had the prescription 8 days. I was informed it was not ready and would be 20 minutes after waiting 20 minutes in the queue of 2 people. When I was given my medication I was told 2 items, gabapentin and paracetamol were out of stick but would be ready the next day(wed 27th). I said OK will call back tomorrow but didn't actually get back until Thursday 28th and by this time I had run out of both medications. After waiting in the queue for 15 minutes I was told they were not ready and would be 20 minutes. I said it wasn't acceptable as it should have been ready for me the day before. She said there is only one on, which I couldn't work out as does this mean it takes over a day to do the prescription. It seems that they only begin filling out the prescription when you go to pick it up so that's the reason you have to wait everything. I think this is poor service which then holds up the queue and creates impatience. I will be moving pharmacies as it really unfair on their customers to deliberately not fill out the prescription when it arrives ready for pickup. Its not as if it is easy to nip back to the pharmacy as it is 2 mile's away.

Review titled Awful pharmacy

Refused to sell me canesten thrush cream as I’ve had two episodes in the last 6 months. Told to see a doctor. It was a Friday afternoon? I told her the doctor knows, which he does, but still refused. I’m a 55 year old disabled women who can’t walk far and was asking for thrush cream, I felt very degraded and panicked as I suffer depression and anxiety. This resulted to me ending up in tears in the middle of Bletchley asda. My husband then suggested we go to Tesco over the way and try there, they sold it on the shelf!! What was the problem. I thought pharmacy’s were meant to help not refuse. I wasn’t asking for a grade a drug just some cream to relief my itching. I had any bladder removed 4 years ago and have been prone to thrush ever since. I am livid that I was put through this humiliation just for wanting some cream. Which I feel is embarrassing enough to ask for let alone be refused.

Review titled No notifications
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have gone twice to Asda in the last few weeks to collect my prescribed medication and both times they were closed. Once between 12 and 1pm and this week between 4.30 and 5pm. I travel over 6 miles each time to the Ashington store. I realise that there will be times the staff need a break. I have no problem with this but they surely should notify customers of these closures. It makes me want to change pharmacy

Review titled Very poor service
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Pharmacy was supposed to be open from 9am, at 9.10am there was still no sign of the pharmacist. The staff there did not seem to be notifying people of this as they arrived to join the queue. When asked when the pharmacist would arrive, staff were only able to say they did not know and that the pharmacist was running late. All the available seats were taken and as I am not able to stand for long periods, I ended up leaving and will have to make another journey to collect my prescription.

Review titled Incompetent staff
Rated 1 star out of 5

Everytime I’ve used Asda pharmacy they can never find the prescription despite GP confirming it has been sent over on multiple occasions. It’s wasting GP time and my own time when I’m already unwell. The prescription was suddenly “found” after mentioning I’d like to make a complaint. The pharmacist in shift then said they don’t have the prescription in stock which felt as if it was untrue based on how common the antibiotic is and she gave no other recommendation for a pharmacy who would have it or to order it in. I’m appalled with the service and level of care this service provided.

Review titled Doesn’t process nhs ppc
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Rashed - Posted on 15 April 2024
Almost every pharmacy up and down the country process and promote nhs Prescription Prepayment Certificate (ppc). I’m shocked and disappointed that pharmacy like this one under a prominent name couldn’t process my prepayment request. Instead asked me to leave my prescriptions item and do it online? I had to wait 20 minutes just to get served and then they took the pride saying they don’t process NHS prepayment certificate.
