Advised by consultant in Feb'24 I needed a cortisone injection in my hip. Heard nothing, after 18wks, I chased, got sent a date I couldn't keep, was told I'd be on the next month's list. Heard nothing. Left messages for consultants secretary, they were ignored, after 23wks wait I contacted PALS who advised me Standard Health was separate and that I should contact them directly. I emailed them a week ago and no reply!!! During my wait, my wife was seen by a consultant, had a cortisone and an MRi, this was all done through the NHS within an 18wk window, excellent service. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Standard Health Ltd is an appalling service, who seemingly don't care about it's patients, they claim to offer a shorter waiting time, clearly not true. I'm so disappointed and still in pain. I do not see the point in Standard Health. I suppose now, I'll need to refer back to my GP and ask to be referred to a different consultant and go through the NHS and wait again, although a shorter wait with the knowledge I will actually get treated.
