Saw Specsavers optician on Thursday morning to ask for a referral for cataract surgery. Within the hour SpaMedica had offered me an appointment for the following day. After thorough assessment was offered surgery the following Tuesday. Arrived for 9.00 am Tuesday and was on my way home again with vision restored by 11.00am Staff were caring and I had full confidence in them. Hoping I will not need the other eye treating, but would have no hesitation of going to them again.

I have now had cataracts removed from both eyes at the Kendal clinic. On both occasions the staff were friendly reassuring and very helpful, especially the surgeon who was so patient with my nervousness and who talked me through the whole procedure ( having checked first that I wanted him to do so). I can already tell that the eye which was treated yesterday is going to be fine - if anything it feels less sore and gritty than the first one. If I have one minor criticism it is simply that the amount of time sitting around waiting, both for assessment and for surgery, seems a little excessive. My appointment was for 1.40pm - I got into the surgery room at around 4.45pm. But it is just a small inconvenience for what was, in every other respect, a painless and trouble free experience. My thanks to all concerned and apologies for being so ridiculously tense!

Have had both cataracts done in a short space of time and the treatment was excellent . From the reception staff through to the surgeon they were all friendly and helpfull i would highly reccomend SpaMedica to anyone wanting eye treatment, Many Thanks

Welcoming and polite all staff are very helpful and well informed they pass the information regarding treatment to patients clearly and take care to make it understandable all aspects of the procedure were explained in full what a great place to have a surgical procedure carried out

Had both eyes done at 83years on both occasions treated extremely well and the outcome of surgery excellent would definitely recommend

Very homely experience, very relaxing and very attentive staff. Very surprised I was able to drive only 48 hours after surgery.Excellent surgeon,explained everything he was doing and made you feel at ease.

had my right eye done on the 2nd september everything went well my eye was very foggy for quite a few hours but on the second day it cleared got up morning after a bit blurry but absolutely fine by now and dont need my glasses for long distance worn them 72 years thankyou to everyone get the next one done in a few weeks x

I had my cataract removed last week and was delighted with the whole procedure right from the pre-assesment until the surgery everyone was so friendly and kind my surgeon explained everything to me and there is nothing to worry about what so ever I shall certainly be happy to have my other eye done when needed Thank you all.
