   I used to get great service from Amcare (previously Alphamed) and received my supplies within a couple of days from sending request to GP. However, the service in the past 6 months has been appalling, particularly since their merger with Alphamed (who were fantastic) and their software ‘upgrade’. I am dependent upon a regular supply of catheters. On the last 2 occasions, staff have said they haven’t received the prescription & blamed the GP. On checking with the surgery, they have said that the prescription was approved on the same day as I ordered it and given me a reference number. On calling Amcare yet again, they constantly insisted they hadn’t had it, but when I have persisted, they have magically ‘found it’ on the “spine” whatever that is! This company needs a good shake up & to get back to their previously brilliant service. I will be trying to find an alternative supplier but at present do not know who can supply what I need
