I saw a gynaecologist with 3v healthcare. The appointment was fine and ended with a referral for an mri. The reason for the appointment was to do with ongoing complications the gp knew about over the last 5 months. Despite the gp opinion that referral for mri should have been urgent it was sent through as a routine request. I called 3v twice to check how long I would be waiting and if anything could be done to expediate/ who I could speak to. I was told it would be two months before I hear. Clearly both times I rang nothing had actually been checked as three weeks after the gynaecologist, after calling a couple of times and receiving a follow up letter stating I would be referee for an mri, I had a go appointment regarding the same thing. I was told to call 3v again who told me to call the hospital. Eventually I got through to the hospital who informed they had never received the referal. I called 3v again. There was no apology just an ‘oh it’s not been sent’. I asked to speak with a gynaecologist and was told there were no appointments coming up I asked for any time they said they had no dates. I asked what i c an do or who I can speak to i am in a lot of pain and the nature of the original situation is very upsetting and should have only been a two week process max. Now it has been 5 months I am in lots of pain and feeling I have no help. The receptionist eventually said they get someone ( not a gynaecologist or a doctor) to call tomorrow. Really upset and so so frustrated that an extra three weeks have been added to an already very long wait for an mri just because the referal wasn’t sent
