  1. Review titled Awful gynecologist

Rated 1 star out of 5

Cold, arrogant, rude, impatient, brutal ! She put the speculum in with brutality as the full exam and does everything she can to make you feel guilty to be there. The nurses were wonderful and I feel sorry for them to have to work with this horrible doctor.

  2. Review titled Mental Health Care

by peter - Posted on 24 August 2024

Our surgery failed to provide mental health care for my partner for whom I am Carer. We were told to go away and attend Yeovil A &E. My partner hss had no NHS setvice for three days of mental torture. She needs quiet places and no music, they could not provide this, so we sat in the rain. Mental Health is broken in the South West and we are being minced by it. Her contact with the local service was abusive and useless.

  3. Review titled Great Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham - Posted on 22 August 2024

Due to a mix up over my appointment dates I attended the Opthamology dept a day early to start my eye injections. Despite it already being very busy and fully booked they went out of their way to fit me in as it would have been very difficult for me to return the following day. All staff were friendly and helpful and carried out my treatment in an efficient and professional manner. The procedure for the injection was smooth and painless.

  4. Review titled Brilliant Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am very pleased with my experience of Yeovil A and E department yesterday. It was extremely busy and the waiting room was constantly full but all the staff were helpful, calm and professional and gave the best care under extreme pressure all whilst wearing a smile.

  5. Review titled Awful treatment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 July 2024

Arrived in a&e via ambulance and was expected to wait in the waiting room even though showing signs of a cardiac event . Finally put in a bay and monitored but then moved from the bay almost forcefully whilst vomiting by a very abrupt nurse . Was finally given a temporary bed in a&e after waiting on a chair for 6 hours after being told of a potential blood clot on the lung . Was told no beds available in the whole hospital.. staff seem to be trying to do their best under extremely shambolic circumstances.

  6. Review titled Friendly and helpful staff, but no beds

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 July 2024

I reported to a&e at about 7.00pm on the advice of my podiatrist. I was kept in my wheelchair for over seven hours before being given a ben in a corridor. Twelve hours after that I was moved up to the reception space of the f.a.u. adjacent to ward 6b. While I was offered sandwiches I was not provided a meal for more than 20 hours after being admitted. Further a doctor did not explain what they thought was wrong and what they planned to do until then second day of my stay.

  7. Review titled Professional, supportive care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband was taken to Yeovil A & E after a cardiac incident. We arrived by ambulance around 3am and were placed in a private bay in that department. Over the next 7 hours, nurses and doctors worked and communicated efficiently, explaining what they were doing, what tests were being run, what we were waiting for and checking on his condition frequently. Their care extended to offering us coffee or tea and later, breakfast. The information put us at ease during a frightening time and their kindness was soothing. After receiving an “all clear”, we were encouraged to return if symptoms reoccurred.

  8. Review titled 12.5 hour wait before treatment

Waited twelve and a half hours before being treated for a potentially life threatening condition after being referred there by my GP. Totally unacceptable.

Left in A&E for 4 hours in absolute agony with only some paracetamol which I told them paracetamol wasn't having only effect on the pain when I was having my triage.
