  2. Review titled Totally let down

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 August 2023

5 admissions in 4 weeks. Needs a gallbladder removed but keep me topped up with opioids and discharged with antibiotics. Lost me on epic the computer system and left me between 4am and 10.30pm without what should be scheduled doses of antibiotics and pain relief so unable to medicate me or release a prescription for antibiotics that I needed. Twice I have had to return within 12 hour as the pain was uncontrollable and then discharged alway being told if I return I will have emergency surgery. Well when will this happen, how many times do I have to come in????? Back in this morning as symptoms have returned obviously due to not being given the required antibiotics and pain relief worn off but staff eventually gave pain relief (after an argument) and then tried to discharge me again!!! 2 infections, 5 admissions for pain in 4 weeks. Do I have to wait until my gallbladder ruptures or I get sepsis? Is this how you would want 1 of your family members treated?

  3. Review titled Positive Experiance

Thank you to orthotics medical appliance in Wexham Slough, for supporting me through the process of getting an a.f.o / splint. You took me seriously despite having a neurological disorder and even ordered it in purple as I asked. My confidence has grown and it has only been 3 months of wearing it and not using crutches. Thank you for making a difference.

  4. Review titled Amazing care and birth experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lisa - Posted on 11 September 2023

I had an induction booked for the 25th August and the care given from the antenatal ward, labour ward and the maternity ward after was more than i could have asked for. The staff from doctors, midwives, students in training and housekeeping were so friendly and kept me informed at every stage and made me feel safe and in great hands even when there were complications. They also supported my wishes to have a certain type of delivery where possible. The care post birth was also great where i was on my own due to visiting hours, the midwife looking after me really helped with my newborn where i wasn't able to get out of bed. I would 100% reccomend this hospital to give birth at, the staff were absolutely amazing. I wish i could go back and thank each one individually again!

  5. Review titled Excellent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs Marion Smith - Posted on 19 July 2023

My Mum was admitted to hospital on 2 July and discharged on 19 July following treatment relating to a suspected heart issue and gall bladder and urinary infections. She was initially in A&E/AAU and then moved to Ward 4 and then Ward 17. The care she has received from the teams in all of these areas has been exemplary. I cannot say thank you enough as having such a poorly 90 year old Mum was a big worry. Everything went so smoothly and Mum was looked after so well and it has been a huge comfort to the family knowing that she was in such safe hands. We are so lucky to have our wonderful NHS. Thank you.

  6. Review titled Lack of sympathy

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 July 2023

I know this team are incredibly busy and working so hard but I’ve had two interactions with the team over the last few days on the phone as I’m going through a first trimester haemorrhage and no one has expressed any words of kindness or sympathy. It doesn’t take much to be supportive to a woman in a vulnerable position. Just a “I hope you’re feeling ok” or a “I know this is tough”. Only asking matter of fact questions to someone in a fragile state feels very cold. Maternity workers, you have a big impact on us pregnant ladies. Please remember to be kind when we’re going through something tough.

  7. Review titled No compassion in the slightest form.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 July 2023

Unfortunately I had to have my appendix removed I was taken to ward 2 in the night and was due for surgery in the morning. I was very poorly as I had appendicitis I had awful fever and muscle spasms. No one came for at least 20 minutes of calling the bell. When the hca finally came she threw a folded blanket on me. I am a nurse and was absolutely shocked at the quality of care I received. I was not prioritised by the nurse when I was in pain I had to wait for her to compete her medication round when I should have been made a priority. I was in agony. This is a disgrace.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

Has to go to A &E as there are no longer any minor injuries units open. I was seen within 20 minutes after checking in. The staff at the reception and the nurse that saw me were professional and efficient. Thank you so much .
