On arrival at A and E, WSH I was in excruciating back pain and seen quickly by Nurses, who assured me I would receive pain killing medication asap. I received this and care and attention was 1st class. The dept. is exceptionally kind and attentive, a Doctor attended me and despite unresolved diagnosis, A and E could not have been more efficient and did ensure painkillers were given at frequent times. It is so clean, staff are wonderful and Nurses attending me were superb in my treatment. Thank you.

I recently had a procedure in the cardiac centre and the care I received both at my pre admission assessment and on the day was exceptional. Staff were kind, caring and offered reassurance throughout. I am only starting on my cardiac journey but the care I received has meant I am confident that the care I will receive in the future will also continue to be as good. Thank you all, you were amazing!

A warm welcome, friendly staff at all levels, and professional care. I felt comfortable with what is obviously an intimate examination because of the doctors, radiologists, and nursing staff. Everybody was just wonderful.

Went to F14 ward for a procedure and from start to when I was discharged I was looked after extremely well, everything was explained and I was put at ease. All the staff were very friendly and they were always checking to see if I was alright although they were very busy. They were always smiling it made my short stay very good. The food I had was lovely and it was hot when I received it so that was very good.

Took my 1 year old to a&e lastnight. Staff were super friendly and caring. Only a short wait too. Times are stressful but the staff were amazing

Taken to A+E with suspected post knee replacement infection. The nurse and doctor who treated me were amazing. It was quick, professional, friendly and very thorough I can’t thank them enough. After hearing all the horror stories on the news about A+E and the NHS in general I was reluctant to go in, but my experience was the absolute opposite. I’m so grateful to them and in awe of how they managed my case so efficiently. I was back home within 3 hours of arrival at the unit. Once again thank you so much to them all I’m so so grateful.

The ENT department deserve a 5* rating. The professionalism especially of the Consultant was exceptional and through taking the time to listen and pursue my partner's concerns re other symptoms he was able to diagnose a chronic unrelated condition. The consultant and his ENT colleagues were warm, approachable and above all professional. All tests, scans and biopsies were carried out in a compassionate timely manner. The ENT secretary was brilliant and deserves a mention, one of the unsung heroes of the hospital!.

Following a fall today I visited A and E with a bleeding forehead cut and various bruises and cuts to my left hand side. I arrived at 2.40ish and despite the area being packed I was discharged by 5.45ish. Treatment included cleaning, stitches and injections all done with care and humour. Well done, everyone from a grateful OAP.

I was admitted to Ward f5 for a procedure under general anaesthetic. The ward staff were excellent in explaining the process. I was visited by the surgeon and anaesthetist before going to the operating theatre. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and attentive to my needs. Hurrah for the National Health Service and West Suffolk Hospital!

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy yesterday following a recent positive fit test - obviously a potential cause for concern. The appointment offered was very quick following the test result so there was little time to fret. Documents and explanations offered were prompt and clear with excellent instructions for the necessary diet and 'bowel cleaning' (!) needed before the procedure. On the day I cannot praise the care and attention to detail enough. I was made to feel as at ease as possible, everything was explained very well and the way that everyone I met dealt with me was exemplary. Gas and air was quickly offered on top of the conscious sedation as soon as I experienced some discomfort and, throughout the procedure I was able to watch on the screen and everything continued to be explained perfectly - especially when they found and removed a sizeable benign polyp. They even laughed at my feeble, sedation-inspired attempts at humour. I could not have asked for a better experience of something I had expected to be much more unpleasant than it was. Thank you all
